It's always nice to step out and touch a light house. The area is not a great spot for young children that are not holding an adult hand...it could be very dangerous. Also, the ground is very uneven, so a wheelchair or walker would not really be an option.

I'm glad we made it to Grand Haven. It's a big name for a little town but it oozes charm. The pier and lighthouse were very cool!

You won't want to miss one of the most photographed lighthouses and the boardwalk that follows along the Grand River for a couple miles. The walk continues out to the end of the south pier where you can watch beautiful sunsets over Lake Michigan. At night, the catwalk lights run the entire length of the pier and are simply stunning.... More

If you are looking for a romantic gateway with your loved one or a family time or just want to enjoy the memorizing sunset in solitary ... this is the place. I went there to click some snaps and enjoy the sunset and it was worth the drive. I'll definitely visit again.

Grand Haven is known for it's singing sands beaches, but it's also a great place to watch the waves on a blustery day. Mother nature blows through Grand Haven fairly often, so you can bet there is a good chance you'll view some spectacular waves, especially in the fall. So, if you are in the area, take a drive out... Actually there are two lighthouses on the Grand Haven pier. One lighthouse at the end and the other half way out. The lighthouses are still functional and their exteriors were just redone last year. The pier offers great fishing and walking. The pier & lighthouse extend out from the Grand Haven State Park and beach. The beach is very large... More

Nice walk upon pier. Sidewalk proceeded to downtown area. Coast Guard museum interesting. Less crowds off-season.

I have gotten some beautiful photos of the sunset on this pier in the summer. It is a gorgeous view no matter what time of year. It is beautiful in the winter, as well. In the summer, walking by the coast and down the pier is just a must do when in Grand Haven. It is just truly a beautiful... More

This is our fourth time to visit the pier and lighthouse and we very much enjoy it. We have enjoyed it in all kinds of weather and it is very well kept and just a treat visually.
