This is our fourth time to visit the pier and lighthouse and we very much enjoy it. We have enjoyed it in all kinds of weather and it is very well kept and just a treat visually.

Visited on a chilly Sunday morning with clear skies. The view from the end of the pier was great. You can see for miles out into Lake Michigan. This is a must when your in town. A great stop and free.

Beautiful lighthouse! Walk along the jetty and get right up next to the lighthouse and take in some breathtaking views. Doesn't cost anything to head out there. We visited in Oct 2014 and the weather was great. mid/high 50's with a slight wind.

Loved the view. Absolutely breathtaking. It really points out how amazing this world is. The water was so high it was coming up over the end of pier. So cool

Any lover of lighthouses will be doubly pleased when going to Lighthouse Connection Park - you can walk out on the jetty, view the sunset and see both lighthouses.

it was a cool day when we arrived and walked along the shore to this lighthouse. Even though the waves were splashing along the walkway we dodged the spray and went all the way to the end.

We spent the weekend travelling from South Haven to Saugatuck, to Holland and then to Grand Haven. While each stop was nice and had it's own personality we enjoyed Grand Haven the most. It was like being at the ocean without leaving the midwest. Beautiful views, clean and friendly. It also had a nice historic downtown shopping area. We will... More

The pier is iconic...and narrow. Watch it on a rough day. Lake Michigan riptides can be dangerous. You can walk all teh way out ot eh small house but the waves splash really high out there.

People have been walking the lighthouse connector for generations. It is a relaxing walk and most impressive as you approach the lighthouse with the lake surrounding you on both sides. I like to walk out there in rough weather when the waves are pounding on the surrounding rocks. It must be avoided, however, in serious weather conditions. Although the view... More

On a lovely if breezy fall day, we watched the fishermen and walkers along the pier and lighthouse. Fishermen trolled in their boats at the mouth of the river and down the channel in search of salmon gathering for their spawning run up river. We watched a fisherman catch a 36" king salmon that left our mouths watering.
