Great to visit in the winter too!

Stopped by over the winter to check out the pier. It was a warmer than usual day so the fog had set in making the pier and lighthouse look even more beautiful. A must see!

Even in the winter, this place gets a lot of visitors. Saturday, January 25th was the first sunny day with little wind in January. Lots of people walking on the pier and on the ice volcanoes. Very beautiful, but be careful because it's very slippery. One lady fell and possibly broke her hip and nearly fell in the water. Good... More

I have been too several beaches with light houses and I would rate this one a the top. Great for walking, taking pictures, or just chilling out. It's one of those places you never get tired of going to.

Historic lighthouse and pier are fun for the family. It can be very dangerous during high winds and ice storms.

This is a large aid to navigation, featuring a long concrete, steel, and riprap pier that works well to prevent silting at the mouth of the river. Likewise, the house and light aid mariners in fixing their positions from 25 miles away.

We enjoy walking this year round. Fall is especially nice as it's not too busy with all the tourists. View is fantastic, and fun to check on local fishermen fishing on the pier.

Go see and take pictures. Walk your dog and take a romantic walk on the beach. Nothing like this with the sun shining and waves hitting the rocks.

During the summer, we take a walk down there about 4-5 times a week. It is very nice to walk along channel. People are usually friendly and nothi stupid happens.

Grand Haven Lighthouse and Pier is a big draw for a brisk walk in refreshing Great Lake Michigan air. Aspects of the Lighthouse and adjoining building are being refurbished thanks to local contributions, and the pier is just a delightful scene. Depending on the season there are often fishermen, when waves are big enough there can be surfers to watch,... More
