All about real people in service. There are huge glass cases with their uniform attire, guns used, letters and much much more. Personnally, my Grandfather's uniform is there, he was a Polar Bear in Russia during World War 1

Almost missed it but worth looking for. They are growing and serious about their mission. Friendly and informative staff.

The artifacts at the museum are pretty cool, but what is even cooler are the stories of the men that used the artifacts. There is even a astronaut section in the back that has all the astronauts from the state of Michigan. The little ones may be bored rather quickly so use discretion with them.If you are really into history or... Very well done with very caring people running it. Great lessons & great information. My 13 yr old loves to come here. Every few months some of the displays change.

Once again, we decided to visit this place based on the Tripadvisor reviews. It is a hidden gem, indeed. I feel bad for not remembering the name of the host, as he made out visit very informative. He was eager to show us different artifacts and to tell us stories about it. You can tell he loves his job, and... More

From the outside this museum looks quite small and one might not expect exactly how much history is obtained within. Showcases tell the story of modern armed conflict and space exploration on the human level of combatants and astronauts who hail from Michigan. Reading through and looking at each showcase as the story of one person is haunting and awe... More

It is a neat place to visit. They do a great job at honoring the men and women from Michigan who have served. My boyfriend is very into aviation and he loved it here!

I went with my 2 young teenaged kids. We spent about 45 min here. The museum is is quite small, there are show cases of men and women who did service in the military that were from Michigan and their story. Alot of reading if you take the time to read each one. The kids were into it at the... More

This was a nice museum, and it had many displays featuring a soldier or pilot in one of the wars (WW1,WW2, Korean/Vietnam/middle east). It also did the same for astronauts. All of them were from Michigan or had lived in Michigan and it has a large selection of medals. It was a little pricey to get in.
