The FIA is a world class art museum, state of the art, with an outstanding collection of art work of a variety of genres. It is easy to navigate, there is an audioguide available to help with understanding of many of the artworks, it is a bright and cheery place, and well worth a visit.

My husband and I enjoy the FOMA, friends of modern art, films. It is a great opportunity for a date night viewing award winning films that you might not see in theaters as well as some sub titled foreign films. The FOMA season runs September through May on Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. The Flint Institute of Arts... More

While FIA is obviously worth reviewing as an amazing museum, this review is being offered for anybody looking for a great venue for a wedding or other celebrations. When my wife and I began planning our wedding, we wanted to break away from the traditional church setting. At the same time, we wanted a venue that was within our budget,... More

Admissions is usually sponsored on Saturdays, so it's free to get in that day. They have a lot of paintings by the old masters, and new artwork as well.

Hidden gem in the city of Flint. Extremely well organized. Very welcoming to people of all ages. Excellent special displays. Especially appreciate the Free Saturdays sponsored by Target. Always look forward to the next exhibit.

Located close to Metroplolitain Detroit, The first thing you notice about the Flint Institute of Arts is it's colorful contemporary exterior, followed by it's spacious entrance. This was my first time visiting this museum and it left a good impression. The entry fee for the general collection was free, but a special exhibit required a small fee. The museum has a... More

The FIA has great exhibits, a very cool gift shop (expect gift shop pricing), a nice little cafe and a wide array of classes for ages infant to adult. My children are homeschooled and have benefited a great deal from the F.I.A. homeschooled program. My husband and I have 7 children ages 10 months to 14 and we like to... More

A surprisingly large museum in Flint. Phenomenal variety though not that much late 20th century or newer art (which is fine with me). Many less than famous artists but pictures were very good. Remarkable variety of African, Asian and Canadian First People stuff. No charge except for special exhibit. Better than art museums in Lansing/East Lansing though, or course, doesn't... More
