Nice little drive thru historic rural farms, a short hike up to one of the most beautiful views of the dunes and Lake Michigan. Not crowded either.

Decided to take my girlfriend on a Sunday morning hike with a secret plan set for the top. We took the long way around the trail that was about 2.5 miles. The trail itself is mostly woodsy, however once you get to the overlook (can skip the hike and it's about .6 miles from the parking area), it is absolutely... More

We used to come here quite often in High School and I was pleasantly surprised it hasn't 'fallen into Lake MI' as I had heard... The edge has lost a few feet, but still as beautiful as ever! When the masses are headed to The Dune Climb, just take the trails off to your right and find the large Dune... More

You have to drive a good way out from Empire to get to Pyramid Point, and the turnoff is not clearly marked. The trail is uphill but not too strenuous. The view from the top is great! It is not as crowded as some of the other dunes.

This is a must see when visiting the area! Short walk/hike to a beautiful view of Lake Michigan and the dunes. It's a little steep once you get close to the top but the view is so worth it!

An easy hike (we did it with kids aged 3/5/7/10 with no problem) to one of the most beautiful destinations. The view from the overlook is simply one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. I could have sat there for hours. Even the kids were impressed!

I always try to bring out of town guests out here regardless of their physical abilities. There is a short (1/2 mile) well maintained trail from the parking lot that goes uphill through the trees to open up to beautiful view of Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands. This is a great spot to see the dunes and you don't... More

After hearing the great reviews my mom, sister and I decided to stop for a hike. The hike is pretty steep and will take you a while if you're out of shape but it is doable. The view is decent. You get almost the same view from the Empire Bluff Trail and that was is easier to navigate. Driving in... More
