On the last visit to see Phantom we sat in the first row of the balcony - this was a nice view, but for future visits we will return to our normal floor seats. The balcony was uncomfortably hot. We always park at the Shaw ramp so parking is free, and there isn't a long line of traffic to leave.... More

The Wharton Center is a valuable asset to the community. Housing an ever changing array of possibilities, it is often difficult to choose what to see. From ballet troupes, symphonic orchestras, Broadway hits, to individual artists, the entertainment is endless. Parking is available right next door. The seating is comfortable and the stage view is premium!

I have been to a few events at the Wharton Center and have always had the same concerns. First, all seats are good however, the rows run the entire with of the seating area and have no breaks. that means if the row is 50 seats wide and someone is sitting in the middle they have to make their way... How amazing is it that a small town like East Lansing has such a wonderful theater! Big name shows appear every season and never disappoint. Highly recommended!

Great shows in the past and will continue to be in the future. Enjoy seeing so many folks from all over Michigan coming to productions by auto or bus. bb

The Wharton Center is a gem in our community. Found on the MSU campus it offer great shows. They always have at least a couple shows from broadway as well as many other offerings. We have been going to the Wharton Center for years.

We recently visited East Lansing to attend a medical school function at the Wharton Center. The venue is on the campus of Michigan State University. Upon arrival we had to find alternate parking because the attached garage was full. After a short hike and finding the correct hall, we were seated in the upper level. The venue was clean and... How lucky we are to have this beautiful theater on the campus of Michigan State University! I recently saw a performance of The Phantom of the Opera there and enjoyed every second. The Wharton Center parking ramp can sometimes be congested. If you park in the Shaw St. parking ramp (it is a little walk but usually free admission at... More

My hubby & I treated ourselves to the show and we weren't disappointed. The venue is very nice, large and easy to drive to. Plenty of leg room between rows. The staff (my guess would be Michigan State Students) were very friendly and helpful. The parking ramp attached was very convenient. We plan on catching another event there soon. PS... More

I've been there for 2 shows, 1 being Tony Bennett. He was awesome and so were the acoustics and ability to see him clearly. The parking is easy as is the exiting. All in all, a great place to see a show.
