We have been going to the Wharton for 20+ years and can honestly say we have never been disappointed in any performance we have seen. Highly recommend buying the play series, a great bargain and can capture better seating!

The Wharton Center is truly a great place to take in the arts and culture scene...whether Broadway, Jazz, international, orchestral or discussions, there is something for the entire family. They have a wide repertoire for the public and for MSU students. The architecture, art, and stylings should not be missed.

The Wharton Center is truly a gem in our community. Beautiful professional theater with top name shows and acts. Can be expensive but join their e-mail list for last minute sales on non-sold-out shows. Students be sure to claim your student discount! A couple of things to be aware of: There is a large parking structure attached, and it costs... More

It was packed and people supposed to be let inside 30 minutes before event...but they weren 't. The whole experience when seating and watching performance was great. However prior to the show I felt that they don't open the theater to seat people soon enough. The door should be open at least 1h before. And there should be a bar... More

I saw Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, Phantom of the Opera, and many more. It is a beautiful place with great acoustics. We have been fortunate that we were usually in the middle or front. Lovely place. The only thing I found wrong with it was that the seats are uncomfortable and could be a bit wider so you are not... More

Wharton Center is the main venue for top name performers in Lnsing. The Center gets top name perfomers and traveling troupes (aka Blue Man Group, Prairie Home Companion as well as Itzak Perlman, other classical stars) Wharton has really grown on me and I've come to really like seeing performances here. My initial aversion was the coldness of the massive... More

On the last visit to see Phantom we sat in the first row of the balcony - this was a nice view, but for future visits we will return to our normal floor seats. The balcony was uncomfortably hot. We always park at the Shaw ramp so parking is free, and there isn't a long line of traffic to leave.... More

The Wharton Center is a valuable asset to the community. Housing an ever changing array of possibilities, it is often difficult to choose what to see. From ballet troupes, symphonic orchestras, Broadway hits, to individual artists, the entertainment is endless. Parking is available right next door. The seating is comfortable and the stage view is premium!

I have been to a few events at the Wharton Center and have always had the same concerns. First, all seats are good however, the rows run the entire with of the seating area and have no breaks. that means if the row is 50 seats wide and someone is sitting in the middle they have to make their way...
