Beautiful gardens you can touch and smell. Delightful landscaping with fanciful decor like sun dials, stepping stones with animal faces, a fort, bridge and maze. Places in the shade for parents to take a load off, and just a few blocks from MSU's Dairy Store (yes, you should get a scoop!).

Anyone who enjoys a beautiful fanciful garden will enjoy this lovely spot. Kids can climb and bounce and jump and go through the maze. We saw tons of frogs and tadpoles among the water lilies and a bunny munching eagerly. There is also a small sandbox. Plan about an hour.

There's nothing wild or exciting about this spot, just a lovely, creative place to take children 8 and under. Lots of natural things to see -- Ducks, frogs, flowers, trees, and fun stuff to play and climb on. The horse stables are a 5 minute drive away with lots of foals May through July. And, the MSU dairy is a... More

Clever ideas for plant names, children story hour and a frog that spits. Plant sales in June are a true bargain. A great team of garden volunteers who spend so much time in making it a show place.

The Children's Garden appeals to children of any age. It's a wonderous conglomeration of many mini-gardens. My favorites are Monet's bridge, the giant butterfly, and the A-z garden with a plant for every letter of the alphabet. The dance chimes, climbing train, and dinosaur dig appeals especially to kids. Don't miss out on this campus gem.

Always changing plants with the seasons. Looked like they may be doing the renovation work on the East end. I'll have to go back on a dog walk soon!

My daughter grew up coming to this garden though the years, How could there be better memory made than this? We still think about the bridge, the sheep, the maze, the musical steps and all of the other lovely surprises.

These gardens are beautiful to walk through on your own. However they are perfect for bringing children to. There are little sections of the garden just for younger people. They can jump on chimes to make noise, lift flaps in flower beds to look at carrots and roots, enter a hedge maze that's Alice in Wonderland themed, and many more... More

Took our 2 1/2 year old toddler and his infant sister her on a 66 degree gorgeous day and we had such a blast. Spent one and a half hours walking through the children's garden and attached garden and fountain area. Ponds are fantastic, there were a number of bullfrogs on the lily pads that my son loved watching. Free... More

This gathering place for families with children provides plenty to do and is very colorful. It is a great place to take photo shoots are just to take your children for a day. There is much to do and it is free.
