The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant is a wonderfully restored building. It's a treat just to see the complex in it's original state. The guided tour was very informative and well worth the time. Easy on-site and secure parking and cheap admission.

The Model T Automotive Heritage Complex is a great example of people coming together to preserve a piece of American history. The Ford Piquette Plant, the first factory built by Henry Ford, was the birth place of the Model T, recognized as the most influential car of the 20th Century. It was the first affordable car for the working man.... More

I read about this place on Trip Advisor and skipped my trip to the Henry Ford Museum to go here instead. I've seen the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village many times and have to say that I enjoyed the personal tour here much more. The best time to come is in the early morning where you can catch the... More

This is the place where the first model T where built. The guide explained to us incredible details of the cars and equipment in the museum. You can see the first T engine, a replica of Ford's office and other unique cars and artifacts. Very much worth visiting. Very much!

The Ford Piquette Plant is a great place to learn about the birthplace of the Model T. This is the first Ford Motor Company-built assembly plant. Models B through T were built at Piquette. The guides are knowledgeable and will thrill you with the history of the plant.

If you love the auto world and it's history, this place is for you. Detroit's Ford Piquette Avenue Plant is the birthplace of the Model T. This historic landmark dates back to 1904. You'll see a drafting table in the corner of the plant where the Model T was created. In addition to Fords, there are other early model cars... More

This is where the Model-T was born. The ancient plant is going through a complete authentic restoration (including Henry Fords Office). The cars and technology will either amaze or send you on a trip down memory lane. This is the old industrial center of Detroit ... alot of the buildings are empty shells but the area is safe!

Had no idea what to expect. My father-in-law is a Model T enthusiast, and I thought he would enjoy it. We were concerned when we arrived in a section of Detroit with non-working traffic lights and the Fisher Body Plant with all the windows broken out. But there is secure parking and this Heritage Center blew us away. Dozens of... More

Sadly we only had half a day here - would love to go back. You could spend days and days here and not get bored.

I thought I am going to a museum and see a few Model Ts and maybe some memorabilia. Oh no...was I wrong. My tour guide Jack, took me personally around and spend over 2 hours with me explaining cars, showing me cool features on them, explaining differences and just anything that you could possibly want to know about the Model...
