We went to see a concert. The venue is so lovely. The concert was great, but I could just sit and look at this building. So very, very well restored. They have a lot of staff to help you find your seat. I don't like the fact that you can purchase food and drinks to eat in the seats, it... More

The good: Breathtaking theater and the performance of the Russian Ballet The Nutcracker was absolutely spectacular and really added to our Christmas holiday. We sat in the Mezzanine balcony and it was great to have a bar and bathroom right there. Great view of the stage below. Much better seats than the main floor and less expensive. Now the bad:... You must get to the theater AT LEAST 30 minutes early due to long, poorly organized, and cold lines to get into the building and through security. I learned this the hard way the last time I saw a show at the Fox and so got there very early today for the Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker (disappointing show). Long... More

One of the best places to see a concert or performance. Great acoustics in a gorgeous building. May be one of the best in the country. Have seen a handful of concerts here and have enjoyed it every time. Worth a stop even if just to see it. Ideally, you could catch a great musician here. Bigger on the inside... More

We were at the front door at 7:15pm for an 8:00pm show Saturday Dec. 13, 2014. The featured star was Terry Fator. His show was terrific. The theatre service was terrible. We finally got seated at 8:15pm and the show was already started. We were seated in the 3rd row from the stage in the most uncomfortable seats I have... More

We haven't been to the Fox Theater in several years. They are now scanning (think airport). We stood in line outside the theater in the cold waiting to get through the scanner. I didn't quite understand it either since our purses were passed outside the scanner to an usher as we walked through the scanner. What's the point of that?... More

Just a beautiful, restored historic theater. Great place to see a play and have a night out. Surrounding area has a lot of drink and dining options also

From the days when it was a movie theater to a run down, water filled building to a gem in downtown Detroit. Definitely worth a visit even if the show/concert is not one of your favorites.

The event was awesome! The Fox Theater is a beautiful place!! The staff was helpful and very friendly. The event started pretty close to on time. Food and drinks are pretty expensive, which is expected. The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty. Parked in the lot around the block for $15. Leaving tokl a long time from the 5th... More

The Fox is a great venue. We have gone there many times over the years since it was refurbished for concerts and plays, and rarely have we encountered issues. Those issues we have encountered have almost always been people who are in a hurry and do not seem to understand that a large amount of people is try to get... More
