Motor City was never one of my favorite casinos in Detroit but decided to give it another try anyway. BIG MISTAKE! The machines are tight, the place is overly smoky (no venilation--and I'm a smoker so you know it's bad), ashtrays never emptied (if you could even find one!), they don't have BBQ ribs anymore (which were the best thing... more

We checked in on a day when it was about 9 degrees out. Once inside, we were directed to our room on the tenth floor where we found our show tickets on the bed with a nice personal note. We had some trouble finding a place to eat, around 5 PM we went to the 16th floor where we dined... more

I won't speak to the gambling, as I didn't play long enough and don't have enough experience to really judge. I was mildly surprised that the smoke from the casino seems to permeate the entire building. I think this is a problem, and I'm surprised there aren't "hard" exits between the casino and hotel portion. That aside, this was a... more

playing .15 per pull. lost a $20 bill every 7 minutes. $60 up in smoke in 20 minutes. I'll stay away from now on. Broke city of detroit is fleecing them by collecting taxing them 24% of gross profits. more

Decided to visit on a Wednesday evening for a 20 car 20 day promotion and I have to say this place was DEAD! I've left a positive review of this place before but I have to say this place is going DOWN! I blew through 500 dollars in 2 hours and every employee I crossed was SO rude! I am... more

SO! I just have to say, I'd never been gambling before so I was a little apprehensive about going to one. But the experience that I had in detroit at the motor city casino was truly amazing. I do have one complaint, they did not have a swimming pool. But the dining options were amazing. I didn't really win anything... more

I've been going to this casino for the past three years. From before the expansion, right thru it, and after. Not as festive as Greektown. Not as slick as MGM. Yes it's smokey in some areas especially. And the neighborhood is dicey - though you're safe on premises - they have very strict security around the site and thruout the... more

Five years ago, the slots here would let you win enough to play for a few hours. Not anymore. I have personally played for an hour with no bonus several times. I have literally won bonuses that paid zero dollars. (The worst offender is the Zeus machine.) Is that legal? It certainly should not have been programmed that way. It... more

I took $300 dollars with the intention of play $1 slots only, after losing $200 dollars in about 30 minutes, with hardly any paybacks ($10 being the most) I switched to 50 cent slots and was broke within 20 minutes.I never go to the casino with the intention of winning i know the odds are in the casino's favor and... more

I had a wonderful time…but didn’t win a dime. I booked the Stay & Play Package and paid extra for a suite on a higher floor. Unfortunately, I had to prove it by showing my confirmation number vs. my word. The buffet was decent but wasn’t worth $25 (more like $18 or so)! Valet was fast, under a 3-minute wait... more
