As where greeektowns sign attract you in, mexicantowns should read " enter at your own risk " there trying there best, and most of the food is good... But the area is sketchy lets be honest .. Go in with the right mind set and you'll be just fine.. But don't think your entering some vibrant oasis of city blocks.

Detroiters and suburbanites are lucky to have this great place to enjoy first class Mexican cuisine. There are several wonderful restaurants to chose from. One time, we went to three different ones to just try a taco at each one! ALL were great and we had a ball!

Lots of Mexican restaurants. Most of them are very very average. The only thing that I would go back for is the Mexican Bakery. It is excellent. Quite an array of breads ranging from sweet to table bread. The shops are quaint and if you're looking for a typical Mexican gift (jewelry, souvenirs) you will definitely find them here.

Talk about getting a bang for your buck. Love this place, the food is fresh, made by scratch and and mouth watering. We had over 11 people with us once and the bill was so cheap PLUS we had a enough for all of us to have it for lunch the next day.

Just a few blocks in size, we found the groceries and bakeries well stocked and extremely clean, everyone from clerks to servers friendly and pleasant and the food absolutely delicious. Will return.

There are several very good restaurants that lie just west of the freeway. Also nearby, are several shops that offer interesting merchandise. If You travel beyond the tourist part of Mexicantown, there is a vibrant community, although the people are poor, they are very proud. I was quite humbled, when I took a friend, who is blind, through the neighborhood.... More

I have yet to find anyone who doesn't like the food and service. I take people here and they rave about it. This is just one of many great Mexican restaurants in the area and it's one of the consistently good places to eat.
