Big casino with lots of games. Lots of entertainment and resturants as well. I did not like that it was a smoking facility and that the non smoking section was extremely small and full of smoke. The non smoking part only had 30-40 machines. Otherwise, nice staff and modern facility.

We aren't big gamblers but stayed here a year ago. All of the finishes in the hotel were beautiful and all of the areas in the casino and hotel were really nicely decorated. Plenty of restaurant offerings and just a great place to stay.

I live near enough to Detroit that I enjoy stopping at MGM before or after events in the area, or even take a weekend to go gamble. I prefer MGM Grand as opposed to the other 2 casinos in Detroit, mostly b/c I belong to their M Life program and stay at their hotels in Vegas & Detroit often. If... More

I have stayed at the MGM Grand Detroit many times. The rooms are luxurious, and clean. ALL the restaurants are extremely good. Wolfgang Puck has two restaurants in this casino. Yum, yum, yum. I am not a smoker, I have not noticed extreme smoke. I like Mgm casinos in general. The MGM GRAND DETROIT is the most efficiently run. I... More

During a couple of visits there 2 things were certain ,bad treatment by the beverage waitresses and old slots that gave me bonuses and paid zero. The hate stares by the staff was ongoing .I spoke with a beverage manager Stephanie about the problem and poor service and she seemed concerned . Management is never visible and turns their head... I wanted to see how this casino compared to the MGM in Vegas...of course its no where near the size of the 1 in Vegas and its entirely to smokey,,there.s a small room designated for non smokers but the slots in there are few,,and there are NO $1 slots in there

tables worn. Lots of smoke. Better than no casino at all but not by much. Add on that Wolfgang Puck absolutely stealing from people with his mediocre pizza restaurant and this one was not worth going out of the way for, even if only a few blocks. If this is the best of the three casinos that is sad.

Went there with some friends. The casino was very empty. Not much excitement or real interest. After a bit, we decided to go to the Greektown casino. Apparently that is where everything was happening. You are better of going straight there. Like most casinos, this one is smokey but Greektown has an opening to the outside so it airs out... More

The casino is nice inside, there are plenty of tables and slot machines, the smoke is pretty bad so expect to go home and throw your clothes in the wash and take a shower. I have been here several times and never had any luck on the slots. They seem very tight on the payouts. I have better luck up... More
