The ironic setting for the MGM Grand (a former IRS building) is only temporary; a permanent casino is to be built along the riverfront.

The last time I was in this casino was at least 10 years ago. We were in the area and decided to stop on our way home. We went in with $60 thinking....play a couple 20s and hit the atm. Much to my surprise.....my first 20 I won over $300 on Wicked Winnings IV. Cashed out and handed my husband... More

It's a bit far from the airport, but if you have a few hours to kill, you can take a half hour cab ride to it. It's a nice large casino, plenty of slots and tables. It's fairly clean. Security seemed visible, though the surrounding area did seem a little less cared for.

Experience here was as good as any non Vegas gambling location. Once inside you can easily picture yourself in Vegas. Tables and Slots are all up to date and working very well. The only problem at MGM is allowing people to just sit at machines waiting, watching, or just resting; while others (like myself) want to play that particular machine.... More

We went for dinner to the Wolfgang Puck Steak house in the casino. We were not prepared for the smoke. The walk through the casino was entertaining if not sad given the number of folks in this hardscrabble town losing their money everywhere but the density of the smoke was a big surprise to us as all indoor venues are... Slots are very tight and pay least amount possible, terrible payouts they give a little bit but take a lot more money only to leave you broke please be careful.
