Fun date

This was so much fun, definitely a different thing to do! Go as a couple or go in a group. The food was pretty good too but the whole evening was fun.

We had a blast, food was really good. It is a older train people forget that, it does have low flow toilet, which before you would have been going in a hole since it was older style. I think it adds to the charm being a older train. The view was country side, you are going to have some buildings... More

My wife and I had a wonderful time. The nostalgia of the dining car, the great service, the Perfect prime rib, the cast and their hilarious performance......and the other patrons....A wonderful evening in every way! We'll be back, and we'll be bringing our friends!

The first hour was fun. But the generator blew and we had to travel 100 ft from the station to plug into the hospital. There was barely AC. Then we never moved, so much for a train ride. The entree was the only good portion. Drink service was slow. During dinner I died of thirst, not even water. To much... More

My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on the Old Road Dinner Train at Charlotte. We had a GREAT time. The food was good. Service was excellent. And the murder mystery was hilarious. I had prime rib, and it was as good as I have ever had. The crème brule dessert was a very welcome finish! We are... More

Our company held our Holiday Party on the Old Road Dinner Train out of Charlotte and had a great evening. The meal was delicious, with three entrée choices to please just about anyone. They even when out of their way to accommodate one of our guest with a gluten allergy. The Murder Mystery was very entertaining and interactive, they enlisted... More

We took our kids on the Cottontail Express to ride with the Easter bunny. Boy were we disappointed to find out that we couldn't see out the window. We spent a lot of money to see nothing!! When we talked to the office they said there was nothing they could do. Don't waste your money unless you don't care to... More

Don't be confused, Charlotte is NOT the same as Blissfield. Old Road Dinner Train runs TWO rail opportunities. The BLISSFIELD experience is AMAZING. Be sure to check TripAdvisor for their reviews....All 4 & 5 Stars. Be sure to specify the BLISSFIELD train when your reserve your tickets. It ROCKS!!!!! The BLISSFIELD experience is what you want!

I have not done the dinner train in years, but I remember it as being very cool. They do themes, too. (ex. Murder Mystery Train).

We took the "Old Road Dinner Train" out of Charlotte, MI on a Saturday night in August 2011. The website billed this as a "5 star" experience; what a gross misrepresentation. The food was average, convention-like food. The prime rib was tough, the potatoes cold, and the vegetables were overcooked to the point that the green beans were a very... More
