Open year round, Castle Farms is one of Northern Michigan's top historic attractions, as well as one of the Midwest's premier wedding venues. Visitors can stroll throughout the magnificent stone buildings dating back to 1918, and enjoy gorgeous gardens. A variety of museum quality collections featuring castles, antique toys, and royalty memorabilia from around the world are displayed throughout the buildings. The Castle's 1918 Museum showcases items from that time era, plus World War I memorabilia. Children delight in feeding the huge rainbow trout swimming in the Reflection Pond, playing a game of giant chess, or hide-and-seek with the fairies and gnomes dwelling in the Enchanted Forest. Our Self-Guided Tours offer Scavenger Hunt tours for children, too! Everyone loves The Castle's Garden Railroad; with more than 1/2 mile of track and 68 G-scale trains, it's one of the largest in the State. Listed on both the National and State Historic Registries, Castle Farms is a world-class historic property where old world charm and modern-day elegance enchant visitors of all ages.

We selected this venue to renew our vows for our 50th wedding anniversary and couldn't have been more pleased. The weather cooperated for our courtyard event but it wouldn't have mattered since the event planner had a back up plan. She arranged for every little detail and was helpful in every respect. The grounds are beautiful and our guests enjoyed... More

We were recommended to visit here from our hotel while waiting to be able to check in. It was neat to walk through and the price was reasonable. Very pretty grounds and would be a beautiful wedding venue. I would maybe consider going back in the warmer months to see the flowers and spend more time outside, but I wouldn't... More

I'm sure that what drew me to Castle Farms was the description of the model railroads, which were fortunately still running when we were there at the end of October, but the site would be well worth a visit for the gardens alone. The trains were enchanting, even though one of the largest layouts was not running because it was... More

The grounds are beautiful and this is a good trip especially on a rainy day! We enjoyed exploring the grounds. they are normally set up for weddings on the weekend and so you may walk around some setting up but it's a beautiful venue for a party or wedding!

After reading the reviews & really wanting to go somewhere different, I decided to go to Castle Farms. So glad I did! I think it's a little overpriced for admission to a place where you walk around on your own (although you get $1 off with AAA), but still, it was so interesting. I spent 3 hours wandering around! They... More

We love hearing from Castle guests. Thanks for taking time to share about your recent tour. The Castle buildings (nearly 100 years of history) stand as a testament to the craftsmanship of the 35 skilled stonemasons and 100 local men who worked with the stones to create a masterpiece that would stand the test of time. Nearly 100 years later,... More

This was truly a wonderful surprise. My hat comes off to the lady that saved the Castle Farms for the rest of us to enjoy. There is something for everyone at the castle. I went there with 3 friends and we had a wonderful time and took many pictures. This will be a place I will return to.

We took the self guided tour of this beautiful building. The cost was $10.00 each and I would highly recommend getting the $4.00 guide book which gives you alot of information and great pictures. The hostess, Jessica, was very nice and helpful. The tour itself is just great - lots to look at. A pond where you could feed the... More

My daughter was married at the Castle on October 2. The wedding took place in the Queen's Courtyard. What a memorable experience!! The view of the landscape in the pictures is incredible! She has always been my Princess, now she has married her Prince at The Castle. It was perfect.
