We took the self guided tour-a brochure for this is included in the price of admission and serves as a good guide for walking through the gardens and "castle". Not truly a castle in the European sense, but rather a renovated farm that has castle-like features. Outdoor gardens were in full bloom (late this year due to Michigan's exceptionally cold... More

We love hearing from guests, and we’re glad you enjoyed our beautiful gardens. The Castle is a photographer’s dream, with stunning French architecture and gorgeous locations around every corner. One of Michigan’s top historic attractions, Castle Farms is open daily for tours from 9:30 am – 4 pm. Kids love feeding the fish, playing games of giant chess, visiting Norm... More

My family and I visited Castle Farms on July 26th of this year. We have been in Charlevoix many times during the past 2 decades, but had never heard of this place until this year. The brochure made it look like a fascinating place to visit --- European style gardens, renaissance architecture, the whole nine yards. Having been to the... More

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent visit to Castle Farms. We’re sorry to hear that you found the Castle a disappointment. On the day you chose to tour, thousands of guests were on site attending our annual Craft Show / Fiber Arts Festival. Held July 25-27, the juried vendors and exhibits utilized most... More

It’s always wonderful hearing from guests. We love sharing the history of our magnificent French Renaissance castle, and it’s especially grand when the weather cooperates! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed your tour and delicious luncheon. Castle Farms has no on-site restaurant, but our caterers do an excellent job in accommodating groups of 20+ for a luncheon or dinner prior... More

It was interesting to see how the current owner has renovated this historic site. The grounds were in shambles, but today everything is spotless with sunning gardens. A must for train lovers.

Thank you for letting us know how much you enjoyed your recent visit to Castle Farms. Current owner Linda Mueller has accomplished a stunning restoration. The buildings, which date back to 1918, are a magnificent tribute to the skilled stonemasons who built the farm, and the manicured grounds make a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll. The Castle’s Garden Railroad... More

Attended a wedding there last weekend and was delighted with the buildings and grounds. I hadn't been there since it was a music venue years ago. The outdoor ceremony and indoor reception were both lovely. Many other weddings were going on at the same time, but we wouldn't have known it (except for the women's rest room that needed attention... More

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent visit to the Castle. People who attended concerts in the past (1976-1993) often remark how lovely the Castle is, now the buildings have been fully restored, and the grounds manicured and perfect for strolling on a summer afternoon or evening. While the Castle is open daily for historic... More

Castle Farms is a great experience. It is good for kids and adults. You learn so much and every thing is interesting. The gardens are beautiful. Take the guided tour at10 A.M. everymorning. It is only a dollar more and very well worth it. Don't miss Caastle Farms.

I found a mention of this place online and it look like a great way to spend the morning. The "Castle" is an old dairy farm converted into a wedding/event center. The self guided tour was well worth it and we enjoyed the different gardens, rooms and especially the trains! As we toured we must have walked through set up... More

Had the pleasure of coming here for a wedding and wow, what a well done area. The grounds are all very well done and very beautiful! Every inch of this place has something pretty to see. We can’t think of anything more romantic than a Castle wedding, and we’re happy to hear that you agree! Castle Farms is one of the premier bridal venues in the Midwest, with beautiful stone buildings and magnificent rooms that lend themselves well for weddings and receptions. We spent the weekend as vendors at the annual Fiber Show. The Castle Farms staff was very helpful, asking us if we needed help moving goods from vehicles to show pavilion. The room was large, but not well-lit, so bring extra lights with you. And bring something warm because the AC was working too well. The facility is a wonderful... More

It’s nice to hear from guests visiting the Castle; hearing from vendors is a special treat! This year’s 2014 combined show was lots of fun for Castle guests and staff alike, with a combination of vendors exhibiting a wonderful variety of crafts and fiber arts. We hope the show was profitable for you, and that you’ll be returning next year.... More
