Description: Open year round, Castle Farms is one of Northern Michigan's top historic...
Open year round, Castle Farms is one of Northern Michigan's top historic attractions, as well as one of the Midwest's premier wedding venues. Visitors can stroll throughout the magnificent stone buildings dating back to 1918, and enjoy gorgeous gardens. A variety of museum quality collections featuring castles, antique toys, and royalty memorabilia from around the world are displayed throughout the buildings. The Castle's 1918 Museum showcases items from that time era, plus World War I memorabilia. Children delight in feeding the huge rainbow trout swimming in the Reflection Pond, playing a game of giant chess, or hide-and-seek with the fairies and gnomes dwelling in the Enchanted Forest. Our Self-Guided Tours offer Scavenger Hunt tours for children, too! Everyone loves The Castle's Garden Railroad; with more than 1/2 mile of track and 68 G-scale trains, it's one of the largest in the State. Listed on both the National and State Historic Registries, Castle Farms is a world-class historic property where old world charm and modern-day elegance enchant visitors of all ages.

Went for a friend of my daughter wedding. If you want to do up a wedding in a big way and stay in Michigan this is the place. My only suggestion is to wait until summer gets here. These people know how to do an event!

The Castle Farms is a perfect place for weddings. Be aware that they are booked for the next 3 years! Their edifice is unbelievable and worthwhile to visit and explore. Amazingly this used to be a dairy farm! After the farm closed the edifice became in dire disrepair. It was purchase three times, the last one who purchased it in... More

Although I imagine most people come to this place for weddings, it is great that they allow you to visit the buildings and grounds on your own via self-guided tours ($10), or by taking a guided visit. At the start of the visit you will find a media center that shows a short video explaining the history of the place:... More

Thank you for taking the time to share about your recent visit to Castle Farms. We’re glad you had a good time enjoying our beautiful gardens and historic stone buildings dating back to 1918. We took a self guided tour, and for a couple of 30-somethings that doesn't normally like taking tours of places, we enjoyed every bit of it. They give you a sheet with numbered areas and there are numbered signs that help guide you around the castle. The video in the beginning gives you the background setting and history of this... More

Great atmosphere! It was dark and rainy so we didn't see much of the grounds. The castle itself was very elegant. The food was alright.

Wedding was to be outside in the courtyard, however, with rain, it was changed to a pavilion area with no problems. Staff were on the job, from welcoming you in to the food service attendants. Which they did a wonderful job. Inside the castle was just beautiful.

This was the first time we had heard of Castle Farms near Charlevoix and were pleasantly surprised when we went there for their Fall Festival. This is a gorgeous building for events, especially weddings, and has a very interesting history! We would highly recommend a visit whenever you find yourself in this part of the country!
