Good for its size

One has to take into account the size of the hill. This is no Aspen! But it is a nice family friendly hill with some fun runs for intermediate and beginner skiers.

RockinRamas: Thank you for skiing with us and I am glad that you enjoyed our slopes and our staff. Yes, we definitely don't have mountains like the Rockies. However, our hills are considered quite large, relative to other Michigan ski resorts. We hope to see you again sliding on our slopes. More

I go to Caberfae a couple of times a year. There is pretty good skiing for intermediate level skiers although I spend all of my time on the South Peak if it's open. There is a black run called GG's Ride that I like. I haven't brought my kids there because the green runs can get pretty congested on the... More

This place has the best value around. The skiing is decent but far and away the best bang for the buck. I am an average skier and always enjoy my visits.

I'm a new snowboarder. I've been to Caberfae 2 times. The first time I tried they're bunny hill. COMPLETELY USELESS. Worst bunny hill I've ever seen. So I went to Crystal and learned. I came back with a bit more skill to go on the green slopes and bought a 4 hour pass. Caberfae's green slopes are VERY narrow. I... More

kristen20somethin: I am very sorry that you had such a negative experience on our slopes. We work very hard at providing great customer service, with a focus on being a family-friendly, value driven resort. Hopefully, you will give us another try at some point in the future. More

We have had season passes here for a few years and always come back. It makes skiing affordable for our family. It is not an inexpensive sport, so it's nice that we are still able to enjoy it without totally breaking the bank. The ski runs are fun, and they do add new little trail runs through parts of the... So they make you book a hotel package at a premium price and in the day of the actual visit they are having $15/$15 specials when I spent $36 on rentals. In my book people staying at the hotel should get special rates and deals not the people showing up last minute. The rooms are gross, especially the comforters from... More

Dear funkybeat85: Thank you for staying with us. Yes, all of our rooms have the same layout, are the same size and have the same pricing structure. We are working steadily to update our rooms. As of today, we have 40" flatscreen TVs in 20 of the 36 rooms. The other 16 rooms will have them before mid-February. We renovated... More

I went to Caberfae once last season and had a nice experience. A couple weekends ago(the last weekend kids were off for xmas break), we visited for the 1st time this year. That Saturday was absolutely packed... easily the busiest day I've ever seen at a Ski resort and as I understand it, the busiest day of the season. Making... More

Mike B: Thank you for visiting our resort and I am glad to hear that you had a good experience last year. I am very sorry that you were not treated well by our staff on your most recent visit. We pride ourselves on being a very family-friendly, down home, unpretentious ski resort. Obviously, this was not the case on... More

My son took snowboard lessons for several days. All of the instructors and staff were very friendly, patient, and accomodating. A special thank you to Dylan and Dean. Prices were very reasonable. Beautiful area -- LOVED the blue spruce trees and snow! Drove in from Cadillac each day -- a nice drive -- about 20 minutes. Hope to come back... More

This was only a few miles from Coyote Crossing, where we stayed, and the prices and slopes were very good. Enjoyed the skiing and snowboarding.
