We have skied here for 12 years but this was our first visit in the summer and will not be our last. the golf course was well maintained. The greens ran true and would hold your approach shots. Each day our play was slowed by a group in front of us, that is a group of deer meandering across the... More

Yes, the price is right but it may not be worth it for some people. The restaurant isn't always open during the summer. To get something to eat you may have to drive all the way to Cadillac. It is an older resort, the rooms are dated, the design is dated, and no in room refrigerators. I'm not even sure if... More

dbrider: Thank you for staying with us. Yes, we do have limited dining options during the summer months. However, we do have two different vending machines in our lobby for snacks and drinks. I am sorry you missed them. I am glad you enjoyed the scenery and we look forward to having you back in the winter. More

Thought we would save money by booking one night at this resort, but it did not meet our standards. Although, it looks as some updates are being made to the resort area it was still old and run down. We were fine until we got to our room on the second floor, dark hallways, empty twelve pack beer container at... More

This is probably my favorite ski resort in Michigan. Not because it's the biggest or the best, but because they have fantastic runs and incredible prices and specials. You can find deals for $15 often. Even their full priced tickets are worth it. They have some serious vertical, plenty of runs to keep you interested. They're located far enough north... More

The slopes were uncrowded and the lift tickets were only $21 for spring skiing. The slopes were longer and had better variety than nearby Crystal Mountain. Only complaint was some of the staff were inappropriately rude to the skiers at the lift lines. I will attribute this to being short staff at the end of the season.

Thanks for the positive review and we are glad that you enjoyed our slopes and the price. I am very sorry if our staff was not welcoming at the end of the season. We work very hard to provide a family-friendly, unpretentious atmosphere for our guests. We hope you will give us another try next winter. More

This is one resort which is more Chrysler Town and Country rather than Mercedes or Audi. Every single person at Caberfae seems genuinely interested in your well being. Although the rooms and facilities are a little tired, they are spotless and well maintained. The hills are not in the same category as Colorado, but they are some of the best... More

majorpappy: Thank you visiting and for recognizing what we are: a very family friendly, down-home resort with great hills, great snow at an affordable price. Every year, we continue to work on updates to our slope-side lodge. This year, we are renovating the outdoor pool & hot tub deck and adding a fire pit. More

Being in the heart of MI snow belt, good snow is just about a guarantee here. It's a great place to bring families as there are all levels of skiing available. Caberfae is the oldest destination ski resort in Michigan. For a little history visit - http://www.michiganskier.com/caberfaehistory.html Being such there are reminders of this as you look around. An older... More

Anita M: Thank you for visiting our resort and sharing your comments. There is a tremendous amount of history here at Caberfae, so thank you for touching on it. As one of the very first ski resorts to open in the country, a large number of people have learned to ski and snowboard here. It is great to now see... More

We weren't expecting a whole lot due to the fact that the lower peninsula isn't exactly known for mountainous terrain of any kind, but to our pleasant surprise, Caberfae turned out to be quite a bit "hillier" than we anticipated. Obviously, it doesn't compare to real mountains, but the runs were relatively long (maybe a minute from top to bottom)... More

We came for a long weekend so our boys (8 and 10) could take more lessons at the CabbyKids program. We're really pleased with this ski school, just as we were last year. If the kids in a group aren't in the same level, the instructors sort it out so everyone ends up where he or she should be. The... More
