We were staying at a house near by so we stopped by the Dunes just to check it out. It was a very gray, overcast day and the beach was mostly deserted. However, the pull of Lake Michigan was strong enough to keep us walking on the beach, admiring the waves for quite a while.

This is a nice day trip for me. The beach area is beautiful, but it also offers woods for hiking and camping. I go to this park several times a year just to get away for an afternoon and am never disappointed. Plan on camping next summer, I'm sure it will be great.

We went here on hotel recommendation. It is close to New Buffalo and was a fun place to walk around and climb the massive dune. Doesn't compare to Indiana Dunes though. Still, during off season, it was fun to get out and great views.

We love to take our dog to the dog beach. It is so nice to have a designated beach open to dogs. The beach is always clean and we love Lake Michigan!

We went on a whim. Drove the 90 miles from Chicago.. it was so worth it. The dunes were huge and spectacular. The beach was pristine and basically deserted. Lol.. which I had no problem with at all. It's a beautiful drive up and the fall colors in Michigan are starting now . A couple of wineries the exit before... More

Beautiful Lake Michigan beach. Camp sites are a little small. For those without big campers, it is important to note that bathrooms at campgrounds are nicely maintained.

I have been to beaches around the world and the Warren Dunes is one of the nicest. Yes the water is cold but the sand is everywhere and the dunes are high and you can climb them! The trails around the dunes are good to walk on and you can see deer and red, black and grey squirrels.

I write this as a day-tripper in the fall not a camper or during peak season, but we had a splendid day on an almost deserted beach and dune! Kids loved running up and down the dunes and exploring the trails and then cooling off by jumping the waves. Beautiful and fun for the whole family!

Beautiful beach that is dog friendly. There is a separate area for people that bring their dogs. There are fairly decent facilities there. The dunes are beautiful. Climb them and run down...if you dare! Tons of parking.

We had a spectacular day at Warren Dunes! It was off season, so the concessions were closed, but the beach was uncrowded, the water was calm and clear, and there was plenty of rocks/sea glass to make beach combing fun. At sunset, you could just make out the Chicago skyline, unnoticeable without the sun directly behind.
