Perfect day - great waves, water temp

The beach was packed but no problem. Water temperature was up, the waves were high. This is a beach and had great fun. The climb up Tower Hill stinks, but the views are... read more

We were lucky that we chose the campsite we did in the modern campground. We had easy access to the bathrooms and playground for our girls and our site was one of the better ones. Many were very squished together and were so shallow that campers had to feel like they were camping on the road. Some parts of the... More

Always great, peaceful and quiet time, I love it especially it's designed for dogs as well. Clean lake front and an amazing dunes.

The water was very dirty and the beach was kind of dirty too but you were still able to walk and swim fine! The restrooms are ridiculous though. There was sand and water all over the place. The doors didn't work and there was someone's "wastes" literally on the floor. I will not go back to this park.

We just stayed overnight at the RV park one night. It was a nice park and very busy as it is peak season. You can drive to the beach parking lots where there is ample beach space and good parking. Again, a busy spot, but the sand and water just doesn't get much better than this. You can walk for... More

Don't come on a sunny weekend. Parking and getting in is crazy. If you do...... come EARLY. Nice beach, great hills to climb. Head far north to escape the crowds on the beach. No alcohol. Great beer and food at Greenbush in Sawyer, 1-2 miles south of the park. Can't walk there.

I have been going to this beach for years and this was the first year I encountered biting black flies. As long as I was in the water, I was fine but when we went to lay out on the beach they attacked us in droves. We could not even enjoy the beach because of this and left after two... More

2 big dunes to run up and roll down right from the parking lot. Get set, go. Easy to drop off coolers from car, if you are not bringing a dog. If you're bringing a dog you would have to carry the cooler at least 100 yards to the Lake and then where ever from there. Sandy beach, but with... More

Went on a Sunday afternoon in July so was quite festive and full, but the beach wandered on forever so not overcrowded. We hiked a bit and ran down some big sand dunes for fun. We didn't camp. The park workers were very helpful and kept the entrance to the park moving at the peak of the day.

We love the huge mountains of sand. It's so relaxing to rest by the shore. Lots of families. We stayed for the Sky-Watcher session after hours, looked through telescopes and saw Saturn, Venus, the surface of the Moon, a nebula and several constellations. Enjoyable presentation!
