Don't miss a trip through Warren Dunes State Park. You can camp in their campground, climb the dunes (Old Baldy and others), go to the beach for a day in the sun, and enjoy the sun in any number of places among the rolling dunes. There are several parking lots, places to shower and change clothes, and it is fun,... More

The dunes are awesome here and so is the park. We camped for a few nights and the park was clean and well kept. We only had two problems. First was the Mosquitos were crazy.. Tried to hike the trail but couldn't because we just got ate up. I understand it's July but we had bug spray and just walked... More

It's not summer without a trip to Warren Dunes State Park! We live in a northwest suburb of Chicago, and it takes us 2 hours to get there. Well worth the drive. The water is warmer and wavier in MI, than the IL side of Lake Michigan. The sand dunes are huge and amazing! It feels like the ocean, but... More

My kids and I were just introduced to Warren Dunes last summer..and LOVE it! Actually spent my birthday there this year enjoyed a day of perfect temperatures and plenty of sunshine. To wrap up an amazing day, we sat on the dune and watched the most beautiful sunset! Beaches are clean and have never been over crowded and a very... More

Didn't explore the park since I specifically went to see the dunes. Parking fee seemed high but I don't know what is involved with charging what they do - plus it was for a day pass. I had never seen any of these dunes before and it was a great site. Great beach, it was huge. NIce sand. If you... More

I've been coming here since I was a young girl and it's never disappointed. It's a great road trip destination - we live in Central Illinois, and on a light-traffic Sunday morning jaunt up I-57 to I-94, it took us just over 2 1/2 hours of driving. Best to time the drive along I-94 to be opposite rush hour times... More

We have gone to Warren Dunes several times and the kids love it. The beaches are big, which is good because it can get crowded. The kids love the trails and climbing the huge sand mountain. We usually bring our two small dogs so we have to go to the last parking lot, which isn't bad except there is no... More

Not crowded, 4 to 5 feet at least 100 feet from shore is 'safe, play area for families and kids, dunes to climb to burn off energy, rest rooms. Lake Michigan is chilly until later in July.

If you're down in the area be sure to stop here. We got to Warren Dunes early in the morning and were able to climb a lot of the dunes! Great views from the top and a lot of fun too! The dunes are wide open and un crowded and climbing them is well worth it! Be sure to stop... More

Stayed in one of the cabins at the Warren Dunes State park Camp Ground. A no frills, 4 bunk bed, with electricity small but water tight cabin. It was comfortable enough for us. (3 adults) Camp Store had everything we needed and the staff there were very friendly and knowledgeable. The Park Staff did their best to keep the bathrooms... More
