Warren Dunes is a great place for a couples afternoon or a family day. Avoid the holidays. Too busy.

Warren Dunes is a large park, with beautiful dunes backing the beach on Lake Michigan. It has camping facilities, a large snack bar, and parking for thousands of vehicles. That said, on weekends and holidays in July and August it can be very crowded. Those not arriving early in the day may not get in, as all of the parking... More

Fantastic dunes overlooking Lake Michigan. Over 200 campsites. Over two miles of public beach on Lake Michigan. This place is a gem on Lake Michigan; beautiful white sand beaches, crystal clear Lake Michigan waters. If you like sand, sun and water this is a place you will not want to miss. I have lived nearby for over 25 years and... More

The hiking trails through and over the dunes are awesome. The scenery from the top of the dunes overlooking the forest and Lake Michigan are inspiring. You can take a challenging hike up the dunes or flatter trails through the valleys in between the dunes. On the trails and a portion of the lake side beach, you can bring your... More

Multi-faceted Michigan State Park offering hiking trails, expansive beach, camping (individual and group), with full service toilets. We use the hiking trails often - several of them, all fairly rigorous. The beach has a nice beach house and concession stand. If you are camping, you can bring it up a notch by visiting some of the very nice restaurants in... More

We planned an impromptu trip on a saturday with friends, reached there at noon and stayed there till late evening. View from top of dunes of lake michigan is awesome, so serene and vast, it amazes. Park is clean and fairly quiet and you need to give 8$ for 1 day entry for non michigan vehicle.

Absolutely beautiful park...clean, friendly DNR. Check in slow but was a very busy weekend. Only frustration - check out time very early on sun which forced us to change our bike route schedule on the cider ride.

Had fun climbing the dunes with my son. Fun to see Lake Michigan from the top. The beach was great and nice bathrooms.

The beach is beyond beautiful, get there early for a great spot. The dunes are the best natural exercise ever, my kids climbed the big dune 7 times to my 2. It was awesome.

If you're used to Atlantic shore dunes; hah! Prepare to be amazed. At 250 ft+ high, and constructed over years of Lake Michigan prevailing winds, these dunes are jaw-dropping in their natural wonder. Park officials are friendly and helpful (in stark contrast to the cold "welcome" we got at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore). Figure about an hour to view... More
