This is going to be more of a review on the campgrounds, as I didn't find a lot of info when I was searching. My son and I arrived on a Monday around 5:30, after stopping at Wal Mart in Michigan City for groceries! Sadly, the campground doesn't include the parking pass, so camping two nights ended up being $60.... More

We have been to the Warren Dunes Beach twice now, and both time have just really, really enjoyed the day. Although the waters of Lake Michigan can be cold, the sand reminds me very much of some Florida beaches... soft and fine. Other than the parking fee, we recommend Warren Dunes Beach!

Went there with our 3 boys ages 2 to 13 yrs. old and everybody had a blast. There is an entrance fee of $9.00 per car if your from out of state and $8.00 if your from Michigan. The beach is very clean and huge. If you didn't bring ang food they have 2 concession stands and the prices of... More

Well maintained and not overly crowded, even in August. Climbing the dunes takes time but is well worth it. The views are amazing from there. There's also the beach which is relaxing. Not many boats and there's no launch in that area. Early arrivers will find it quite peaceful.

This campground is VERY clean! We will be going back. We booked our campsite Sunday-Wednesday. There is quite a drive to the beach from the campground. They offer many picnic areas along the way. If you are planning a day @ the beach, get there early; as it does get really busy! There are concessions available for your convenience. And... More

The beach is great and its obly 9dlls to get in so its not that bad. Be aware though that it is a rocky beach! In case you were looking for an all soft sand beach. The dune xlimb is great and also a good activity to so with the family. Other than that get there early and go as... More

Had a great day on the beach! Get there early because if it's a sunny summer weekend day, it gets very croweded as the day progresses! You get the fun of the beach and the lake for swimming (a bit cold at first, but that's to be expected in Lake Michigan), then the fun "clay" river where kids wander towards... More

The Warren Dunes are a perfect family day trip from the Chicagoland area. You can leave after rush hour and it is a nice drive. There is a good gas/food place at the exit where you get off to fuel up and grab a variety of food for the beach (we had Popeyes fried chicken instead of a boring sandwich).... More

The beach has a concession stand and changing facilities that make it a nice beach to visit. The Dunes are impressive and many people climbed or attempted to climb them.

A short drive from Chicago and you feel like you're a world away. The dunes are large and fun to climb. The beach is sandy except for the 15 feet before you hit the water where it gets rocky. But a short swim out to the sandbar about 50 feet off shore gives relief from that. Had a great time... More
