Beautiful place!

We stopped here as a stop on a long journey. I wish we would have planned a whole day here. We loved it. We climbed the dunes and swam in the lake.

We stopped here for a break from Chicago to Detroit. It was awesome! Definitely hike up the sand dune, recommend to do it barefoot, take your time. Beautiful view from the top and a relaxing hike back down as your feet are cushioned by sinking in the sand with each step. Also, we checked out the beach and that was... More

It was fun climbing the dunes. A little slow going for me, but my sons, in their 20's went right up. Kid friendly...many families also climbing....the view at the top was worth the climb.....there were trails, some of them had dunes to climb, but you could choose to by pass them. Beautiful beach.....restrooms were ok...a few stalls were less than... More

I've been visiting & camping at the Dunes since I was a kid - back when they used to hang-glide from the top of the main Dune. I remember back when there was only one concession in a little white house and you could play air hockey, pinball, and get ice cream. And I continued to visit through my life... More

Beautiful beach. Perfect day trip form Chicago. Bath house is not the best. Got there early and got a nice spot. We brought a beach tent for shelter from the sun. Backed a picnic lunch. We all had a great day!

You could definitely spend an entire day here. The beaches are beautiful and clean. The water is clean and clear. The Dunes are unbelievable. The facilities are clean. There is a snack bar serving food and drinks. We didn't eat, but looking at the prices, they were mostly within reason for the convenience and selection. I would suggest just planning... More

I've been going to Warren Dunes for a long time. It's always a great time. The beach is clean and the people that visit are always nice and family orientated. I've never witnessed anyone acting foolish or obnoxious. The beach and water are clean, as are the facilities. Highly recommended. Try to hit the far north side of the beach... More

My family and I are very competitive we turn climbing the dunes into a race (beware climbing them is harder than it looks). It's a great and fun way to exercise as a family and enjoy nature. Best part is once you're all hot and sweaty from climbing you just run down the dunes (so fun!) and take a swim... More

Want to hike a dune? This is your place. Plenty of parking and a concession stand available. Take plenty of water if planning to hike during the day! Great views and nice beach also!
