This is one of the better Midwest ski resorts. They have a variety of terrain for the beginning to expert skier and snowboarder. Free area with magic carpet for those just starting out. 6 man high speed lift to get you to top of hill quickly. Runs are shorter than the eastern or western resorts, but you still get a... More

Great first time ski experience for my two boys. Boyne is well organized and we were able to rent our equipment in very quick fashion and get on the slopes. The ski school instructors were very friendly and would say Hello to you and ask how you were doing the following days on the mountain. Unfortunately, a lot green runs... More

First family ski trip up north. I can;t really compare to other resorts or ski facilities, because I have limited experience. We had short/manageable waits, and the open runs seemed well-maintained. Staff were friendly and polite. Many of the skiers/snowboarders were surprisingly family friendly (I overheard a few times young adults admonishing their friends to watch their language, although I... More

There are plenty of runs to choose from for all abilities, and they are longer runs than some of the other ski resorts in the area. There hasn't been much snow this year, so a lot of the runs were not open yet. That being the case, we still had enou gh green runs to keep us busy for the... More

Went the weekend before Christmas, much less crowded than we expected. The lines weren't long at all, and they are making snow. Cold enough up there (20 degrees colder than Detroit) so no slush, but conditions did get icy as the day went on.

Arived today at Boyne Mountain. Checked in, all good. Went down to the slopes, bought our lift tickets and helped friends to get down to the ski rental. On our return, my daughter snowboard was missing. Must have been less than 5 minutes. I immediately went inside and asked the staff to get security, since there was a security camera... More

Boyne Mountain is the best all around ski resort in Michigan. There is plenty to do and see without leaving the resort. Pearsons is a great place to warm your feet and get a drink, but get there early or be prepared to wait for a table a while. The service is great, but that place gets packed! The Eagles... More

I prefer Boyne Mtn. because you have a perfect selection of terrains and slopes. You could be hitting a massive jump one second then be taking a casual ride through the trees. If you are extreme this is it. If you are not extreme this is still you.

This was our first time skiing here during Thanksgiving break. Fortunately, we got eight inches of snow after a couple of unseasonably warm 45 degree days. The snow base was great and the staff is super helpful and friendly. The plus side of coming on opening week was we owned the place. The downside was only nine of the sixty... More

We went opening weekend of the slopes so most many runs were not open. However there was still enough open for all levels of skiers and we enjoyed ourselves. Also the best part was barely any wait to get on the lifts. I would definitely come again opening weekend or other times durning the winter season.
