Nice attraction, had a chance to speak to many staff as they were taking care of the pens. Staff were really friendly and eager to talk to you about the animals. The owner/operators were among those working. The park was nice, but be prepared, the trails are dirt.

Incredibly sad. Many of the poor animals , especially the bears, are kept in such horrible conditions. Tiny concrete cages covered on their own feces. I wish there was something I can do for them. Do not support the cruelty.

Went here last week with my 3 daughters and 3 grandsons. Went late in the day (about 5pm) so we almost had the place to ourselves. Its a great little zoo in the country & well worth a stop if you're visiting Frankenmuth or Birch Run. They have monkeys, lions, bears, tigers, a large reptile area and lots of other... More

I took my grandchildren to this zoo they had a great time. It's a good zoo for children they can pet animals in the petting Zoo and also feed goats, deer, and fish. They also have alligators and a crocodile.

I would never go back here! We were told it would take about an hour to go through the park. When told that the latest they accept admission was 6:30pm, we did not realize you still have to leave the park by 7pm. We were kicked out at 7:20pm even though we had not finished going through. As we left... More

This is a gem of mid-michigan! The variety of animals is astounding, and we were very impressed with the large enclosures and open spaces for the animals to roam. There is an awesome reptile area with a large number of unique and interesting animals which are ALL rescues. The property is well maintained, and there were several employees and keepers... More

I can't leave a review on the zoo itself, because I never got to experience it. My husband and I are very disappointed by this place. We had planned to visit for the first time, recently, on a week day. The website says they are open EVERY DAY, and their hours Monday to Saturday are 10AM-7PM. The sign at the... More

IN A NUTSHELL: Pros: absolutely nothing Cons: absolutely everything I would give this place zero stars if I had the option. I try to be as fair and unbiased as possible when writing my reviews, but I will be honest when I say there is absolutely nothing to like and absolutely everything to cry about when it comes to Wilderness... First read the website which stated everything was still open. All the reptiles were gone due to being cold at night. The butterfly house was closed. Half the cages were empty. If would like to see alot, i mean alot of goats, go visit this zoo. It took less then two hours to see entire zoo, including lunch and playground.... More

DO NOT GO TO THIS ZOO! This place is horrible. I wish I could give them no stars. All of their animals, including big cats and bears, are kept in tiny concrete enclosures with no enrichment, no grass and no companions. They are all neglected and poorly cared for. No animals should have to live this way. Please do not... More
