My family came here the day we left Frankenmuth, and had a good time. It is actually much larger than it looked from the road. I read some of the negative reviews before arriving and was prepared not too like it, but my kids wanted to go. It was actually a nice experience, with a wide variety of animals. I... More

We go visit Wilderness Trails Animal Park once a year, its a 4 hour drive and really worth it. they have a wide selection of animals to see and most are up close with many being touchable. you carry a feed bucket around with you and feed whoever you want. easy walking trails. Not as big as a zoo but... More

It's small enough that is doesn't take all day to go through. Often they have petting places. There is a picnic area with a swing set to have lunch and play when your are finished.

I wonder where they able to procure lions, bears and other wild life. Many of the animals looked bored and miserable. The bears were especially hard for me to see. Then once I saw the lions, I almost lost it. Tiny cages. Nothing close to a habitat. It was horrible. I'm fine with the horses, goats, sheep- even the bunnies-... More

The zoo was rather small but they did have a great variety. We did enjoy it very much and I know my granddaughter and the rest of the family also enjoyed it.

While Wilderness Trails Zoo is nowhere near as big or beautiful like the Detroit Zoo, or have as many kid-friendly activities like the Saginaw Zoo, it is a fun experience and unique in how it presents its animals. Unfortunately, many of the enclosures seem small and cramped and the animals seem too large for their specific areas. Because visitors can... More

My kids and I really enjoy this zoo. It's fairly small and good for a 1/2 day stop. Some of the animals here, like Fennec foxes, I haven't seen at other zoos.

This is a long standing smaller zoo that seems wore out. For it's size it has variety but could use additional funding to get it up to par. Little things could make this a more appealing attraction and take away from the wore out tired feeling. They have a nice picnic area and playground which makes it a nice 3-5... More

Twenty years ago I took my daughter to this little zoo and wasn't vary impressed. But let me tell you it has definitely improved in the last twenty years. Me my wife and our two grandchildren had a great time. If they would have had paved trails I would have given them 5 stars.

Thank Jim M
