This is not a fancy big-city zoo... that being said, for a small, local attraction, it is worth a visit. My 5 year old daughter has been here once or twice a year and always enjoys it. It's dusty (or muddy depending on the weather) and doesn't have bathrooms and/or concessions every 10 feet, but overall it's a great place... More

Our kids have been on field trips here as well as family trips. The only bad experience i had was when i walked by the lion cage during feeding time. yikes! lol

We have gone there in the past and it was really a nice zoo...NOW it just seems run down and neglected....There is a lot of room for animals , but the ones they have are in small pens and are looking sad...Cant with a straight face say to go there...

The poor animals at this facility have some very small and dirty pens. The poor bear and tigers especially have very little room. Both of my kids took a school field trip here and the workers held a demonstration on feeding the monkeys. I was shocked at what they Monkeys were given, chips cookies candy all sorts of junk food.... More

A pricey deal for a family of 8, and no help for larger groups. So, I would say enjoyable for sure, but a bit costly.

As many of the other reviewers stated, the enclosures for many of the animals seem criminally small. We saw a bear that appeared half-dead -- it was very thin, appeared to have skin problems and was not moving. Pacing and lethargic animals were also very common. Interestingly, their gift shop and playground areas seem clean and well-maintained. While I understand... More

Between the frantic shopping at the huge outlet mall at Birch Run and the kitschy wonderfulness of Frankenmuth sits this smallish private zoo. We visited on a hot sunny July day and found the shady paths through the zoo to be particularly peaceful and inviting. We took our time and read many of the informational signs to learn more about... Children really enjoy this. The trails to the animal enclosures are wooded, so hot summer days aren't so uncomfortable.

I appreciate that these animals are expensive to maintain but many of the enclosures seemed too confining for the animals/birds housed there.

I went here and was disappointed. It has more farm animals then zoo animals. They have double and triple fences around the animals, so taking pictures is next to impossible. And the enclosures are very long and back to back. They need a walkway between them. If the animals are at the end were the cages meet up you can't... More
