We camped for 3 nights and the highlight of the trip was their amazing splash pad. If you are in the area with kids I would highly recommend it. You just need a State Park Recreation Pass and then it's free to visit. It was quite hot during our visit, so it was well used by campers and locals, but... More

Came to Bay City from Ohio expecting wonderful beaches. Could not believe there is hardly any beach area in site. At the state park we were told that it is considered a wetlands so unable to have a respectable beach. Very disappointed in the Bay City area. Won't be back unless I need some antiques

The area surrounding this park was kinda run down. We were in the area and knew we were near Lake Huron, yet had a hard time finding a nice place to see the lake. The park was nice enough, and we did get to see the lake, but the lake was kind of dirty....we had seen Ontario the day before... More

If Michigan has had it's monsoon season, plan on most the campsites being underwater!!! Beautiful campground!! Be sure to bring at least 50 feet of electrical cord for your camper as the way the electric is set up, you could be that far from an outlet!! Nice showers, the beach has a splash pad for kiddo's! Great place to watch... More

Great place to run or bike. Lots of trails and wildlife to view while going through the park. It looked like there was a lot of people fishing around the water.

Our first trip of the year camping and 2 solid days of rain! Flooded on out site (90) but staff kept bathrooms spic and span and we still enjoyed ourselves. We were there 3 full days and the trails and park area is amazing right on Lake Huron. We'll go back.

This state park is located on the Saginaw Bay of Lake Huron. there are nature trails, a floating fishing area in the lagoon. Trumpeter Swans, Snowy Egrets, ducks, turtles, mink, river otters, hawks, beaver, many species of birds, etc are at home here. The park is across the road from the campground, which has cabins to rent or nice, open camping... More

We enjoyed being here - there was a marsh with boardwalks, broken trees after beaver work and nice sandy beach, but it's not for swimming, just relaxing.

The facility is well managed. They have a clean facility. Both rinks were nice. They were really helpful and good at sharpening skates.

Bay City State Park seems to always be developing. They made a great effort to clean up the swimmers beach area. The beach and volleyball areas are as good as anywhere. The kids waterpark is always full during the summer. It has an awesome play scape for kids and grandkids. My wife and I live nearby and ride our mountain... More
