Alice & Jack Wirt Public Library is a beautiful, modern facility. If you're a visiting family, there's a huge children's area complete with a large boat to play in as well as toys, puzzles, and puppets. It has a beautiful reading garden just off the children's area for sharing books together. A separate teen area will interest older children. Fiction... More

My wife and I went to this library to use their computers. The people were very friendly and helpful, even though we were from out of state. They even offered to extend the time, if my wife was not done with her school assignment. We would go again, if we were ever in the area.

This new library is all inclusive. The genealogy section is not as compressive as the one at Hoyt in saginaw.

This library has it all. Beautiful views, sitting areas, historic collections, videos, etc. Everything anyone would want in a main library. It makes you proud to take friends to this library. Way to go Bay County and thank you Jack and Alice Wirt.

This library has a 'back room' that has a lot of archival material on the history of the area. I was able to look up several things that I was not able to find anyplace else, even on-line. I even found a copy of my great-grandmothers death certificate on microfilm. This is one of the places to stop at if... More

One of the upsides to living here in Gaye Chittie. They will also ship books from surrounding libraries right to Wirt so while they don't have everything, they have a great big building space which perfectly suits its purpose. There is even a fireplace or two to read by!!

Stopped in with my granddaughters on a rainy day. We had a good time relaxing and finding books to bring home. Beautiful fireplace too.
