This is always such an unexpected great day even with teenagers. You can walk or take the tram The giraffes are amazing to feed, watch and play with. For the middle of Michigan you would not expect such a nice zoo however it is really is a great day to spend with your kids.

(Cheesy boxing ring announcer voice) Let's get ready to W-A-L-K!!! Walking is one thing that you will be doing a lot at this zoo. The zoo is quite spread out due to the large size of the exhibits. That also means that there is a lot of room for the animals to roam and act naturally, probably the strongest point... More

The zoo is well laid out with nearly 1 mile of trails. There is a tram to the Wild Africa segment of the park and a Zoo train &. carousel, both of which are $2 extra. Strollers and electric carts are available for a fee. The entrance fee is very affordable for families at just $13.50 for adults & $11.50... More

This zoo's charm is seeing the giraffes up close and personal. You can feed them, but I'll warn you: MAKE SURE IT'S 60 Degrees outside because they don't come out until it's at least that!

I'm very thankful to have this zoo so close to home. This is a nice summer day trip for the kids. The animals are hit and miss as with any zoo but the zoo is kept very clean and the animals or many kinds are everywhere in the zoo. I love the zoo because of it's Africa portion and being... More

I have enjoyed Binder Park Zoo from the time I was a child. The downside is at times an animal or two will not be present. But still great overall!

This is one of the best Zoos you'll find around. Battle Creek is relatively small in the grand scheme of things but this community REALLY supports the zoo. Lot's of great attraction will keep a family busy for hours. The price is about average and there is plenty of food to purchase so you can make a day of it.

This zoo is for all ages. They have an amazing "African Safari" which is a cageless open prairie. Giraffes run free with the zebras and other animals while we humans watch from a boardwalk above. Other good points include the train that takes you from section to section, the Zoo Boo lit up with jack-o-lanterns in October, fun learning huts,... More

Why is lots of land noteworthy? Because when you view the animals here, you feel as though they are well cared for and that their habitat has been thoughtfully created. Binder Park Zoo participates as an active member of many conservation efforts. The African Savannah is very well done. I love the aviary as well. When you think of zoos,... More
