The zoo had less than HALF of the animal exhibits open. Prices for food and drinks OUTRAGEOUS. It was just endless views of overgrown weeds for acres. There weren't any diaper changing stations in bathrooms. There weren't any interactive exhibits for the children. No "fun or interesting" facts for them near the animal cages or walls. No lions, tigers, hippos,... More

This was one of the best zoo's we had been too in a long time, plan on spending a full day here. We spent almost 5 hours walking around and still managed to miss the kids petting zoo area completely. Took the tram ride up to the Safari area since it was an uphill walk in 90 degree temps otherwise.... More

Excellent zoo. Great animals and exhibits. World class. My only complaint is that Binder Park does not participate in the Reciprocity Agreement that the many of the AZA have. As a result, it feels pricey.

I have been going to this zoo for 20 years. It gets better every year. This is pretty zoo, built into the forest with lots to see. A must is the wild Africa. You get to feed the giraffes!

Like many other reviews say, the $13.50 admission is pretty steep for what is in the park. There are lots of open areas out back that could/should be turned into additional exhibits. The swamp adventure was closed due to "flooding," but that sure didn't have an effect on admission pricing. The fear of avian flu spreading from wild birds led... More

This zoo is great, it is known for being so clean. It has great quality, last time I went they were preparing to add more animals to the zoo, mostly in the kids area. The petting zoo is my favorite part, being able to feed goats and llamas and several other animals including the giraffes (in another area of course).... More

Rained kangaroo and prairie dogs. Hot, muggy morning. Walked for miles in the Michigan Rain Forest/ Jungle. Animals healthy, happy and faux proper habitats. Best?!! Feeding the Giraffes! !! Well done. Picnic areas available. Good but expensive fast food. Trams guides etc. pleasant. Be ready to walk. Animals are happy! ! Great exhibits! !

We were here in July with the kids on a vacation. The zoo is laid out in a wooded/marshy area, so first things first - bug spray! Cool exhibits, tram to "Safari Village", interactions with giraffes, which was really great. Check for reciprocal Zoo discounts, if you belong to another zoo!
