This zoo put a lot of work into this place this year. It repainted some of its old sculptures and have made new exhibits; like black bears. It's a really good zoo, not a ton of animals. Spend some time walking down the Swamp adventure, it's kinda long but it's a nice walk on a beautiful day. Then there are... More

I have been here once, and it was AMAZING! All the exhibits have a lot of room for people to stand so you don't feel crowded. I really enjoyed feeding the giraffes here and getting to interact with them. I loved this zoo and I would definitely come back! It is well worth the admission! Lots of good food to... More

This is a great outdoor zoo. While it does require a lot of walking (be sure to wear comfortable shoes), the space provides the animals with lots of room and they are not just in cages. They have room to move, run, swim or climb. We arrived about 10:00 in the morning and there was plenty of parking - even... More

I love their African plains exhibit, that is the way it should be done. A great property with loads of room to expand. And Bruce gibbon is the cutest ape I know.

The only thing that kept me from giving this zero stars was the kids loved feeding the giraffes. Other than that, it was a horrible zoo and we couldn't wait to leave. It was definately not worth the price of admission--especially since they closed literally all of their bathrooms and made all the guests use a few porti-potties. The lines... More

This zoo is an average zoo. There is a lot of walking and empty exhibits. However, we saw two amazing animals, an albino peacock and a golden pheasant. The giraffe feeding area is fantastic and worth the trip.

this is a very nice zoo with lovely trails that are for the most part shaded. it has a unique (at least for Michigan) safarie trip to Africa which includes either a nature trail or a train ride from USA to Africa. When you arrive in Africa you are invited to travel the trails through bird sanctuaries, various exhibits, and... More

You've never been to a zoo where all the animals have wide open natural spaces to live within. Get a season pass, you'll find you'll want to spend a long time in each corner of this wonderful zoo. Really, check out their website, I can't give it justice here--I love this place!! And if you enjoy photography, this place in... More

Really good exhibits. Surprisingly big zoo in little Battle Creek. The zoo actually has a lot of land and the Wild Africa exhibit was really amazing. The highlight of the Wild Africa was feeding the giraffes and touching the giraffes. I was also really impressed of all the decorations they had in the Wild Africa exhibit, made you feel like... Took our 3 year old here and she loved it. I hadn't been here in years, and it's still a decent zoo. It's a little pricy for the amount of animals, but we're always willing to choke up a bit of money for quality zoos. Be warned that this zoo is spread out quite a bit - we didn't do... More
