Old fashioned soda fountain still visible.

Good for a sandwich, soda, and nostalgia. In the "heart" of Yarmouth Port, this historic drugstore still has the old woodwork and if you're lucky, local characters.

The place is never open like a retail business should be. The owner is rude and I doubt very highly the food fresh.

We happened across Hallet's by accident and happy that we did. As you enter you feel like you've taken a step back in time. We ordered a bowl of their famous clam chowder, shared a tuna salad sandwich and a bottle of Hallet's rootbeer. All were really tasty. They have large cans of their chowder available for sale which is a... More

The store is original and refurbished solely for the purpose of transporting you back to a fun, easy time. The owners grandfather started the business and all of his ice cream recipes are followed to this day. In this atmosphere it is easy to talk or read the history of the town. We bought the book of early town/store photographs... More

Awesome flavors and wonderful hard scooped cream. I just wish there were kids sized portions. Our twin grandkids (4 yrs old) didn't need to eat $8 of this great ice cream. I think all 4 of us could have split one cone!

A perfect step back in time here.... With a visit from my nephew & his family from San Rafael, California, it was a must stop! We all ordered ice cream sodas of different flavors. There was only a young man acting as the old fashioned 'soda jerk'....he was quiet & very slow with our order; but we were patient and... More

I brought my three young children to eat lunch and was planning on buying them ice cream after lunch. Two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and a cup of chowder cost over $20 and the man in the kitchen was beyond rude when I asked him any questions. The cashier didn't know anything they had and couldn't answer any questions... More

Hallets makes a big show of being just like an old-timey general store, but it's a racket, I assure you. When I walked in the first thing I noticed was the insane amount of signage warning about "No Bathrooms" so... don't even think about it. We wanted ice cream, and apparently it's all homemade, but they don't give tastes so... More

Amazing home made ice cream to inexpensive sandwiches such as the best grilled cheese and chicken salad along with home made meatballs. Stop here and get some food for the beach!
