A Family Friendly Beach

Gray's Beach is perfect for families. It's never very crowded; there are no waves and when it's low tide you can walk far out. And it's free!

It's great for wading but please don't swim into the strong current like I did! Pay attention to the DANGER STRONG CURRENT sign.

We enjoyed this beach the most of the few we got to visit on the Cape. The boardwalk through the marshes is lovely and provides something to do besides just sit on the beach. At low tides, there are sand island you can/walk swim to. The shallow part of the beach was perfect for my 18 mos old grandson. We... More

We had been told that the boardwalk was a 'must visit'.....Well, we did as told and did visit and, well, er, it was ok. A nun tried to sell me a trinket on the way, a steady stream of visitors were ahead and a similar number were behind us, so it had a feel of a conveyer belt. The views... More

Very nice beach. Low and high tie.get to walk across the little " islands". Great for small children. Life guards and ice cream truck gets there once-in-a-while.

Nice calm beach for young and old, wonderful boardwalk out over salt marshes, quiet, serene, plenty parking. Lifeguard.

The only real reason to go here is at Sunset, and to walk the super long elevated boardwalk. Daytime would be too hot, or in the Fall maybe, but sunset is amazing

Small family beach with a great long pier to walk out on. Better for families or those who don't mind some noisy little ones.

A great spot and probably never really crowded. However, it is in a marshy area and there are a lot of bugs. On a day without much wind, the flies are horrible. People staying minutes and then leaving. I wish there was wind as I really liked the setting. Free parking!

The boardwalk extends way out over the marshes and gives a gorgeous view of the water, the clear and lovely water swishing over the grasses as one walks out the boards--swallows swooping and dancing in the air overhead--boats going quietly to and fro--what a pleasant way to end a day--beautiful, beautiful Cape Cod!! how I love it!
