The EcoTarium had a nice range of science/nature exploration for children - bubbles, tornado machine, dinosaur bones, music station and some live animals too. Get there early or make advanced reservations for the zip line. It sells out quickly!

This is a very nice museum for young kids up to 9. They have a planetarium to see for an extra $5.00 and a train ride which is also an extra but was down for the rest of the season. They have some nice exhibits to see and things for the kids to do outside.

The Ecotarium has an amazing variety of activities for children, and offers a wide range of natural science information for adults as well. A family can spend several hours here walking the woodsy trails to see rescued owls, a fox, a snapping turtle and other creatures, lovely trees and plants.and a stream. There is a large outdoor area where children can... More

Some really neat stuff and the grand kids had a ball. The zip line and top of the tree walk was a little over blown. When half the adventure is only putting on the safety gear. Good learning experience for kids of all ages. The eagles in the picture are better looking than those in person. They didn't look happy...

The programs that they run out of the EcoTarium are very good. The day to day visits are a bit lack luster. We bought a two year membership and after I took my 6 year old he didn't care if he went back again. The only thing he does really like is the train and the outdoor activities, which of... More

Great for families. A local gem. It's worth the trip and the memberships are great for families. Way more manageable than the shlep to Boston!

There are lots of animals + exhibits here. I liked the bubble exhibit & have been here many times. Good for little kids.

My little ones absolutely love the outdoor play space behind the Ecotarium. Shaded by lovely, big trees, there is a sandbox, river, camping site, a couple of playsets, a stage, an old-fashioned water pump, and lots more simple setups to encourage imaginative play. There are plenty of picnic tables so be sure to bring a picnic. My only caution, sometimes... More

We visited on a Sunday (they don't open until noon) and we had to make a reservation for the tree canopy which tours start at 12:30. The 12:30 slot was already booked by online sales, but we were able to get the 1:00 slot. The overall facility is very nice. There are some animals mentioned on the website (for example... More

I visited with a scout event earlier this year. At the time I received a return voucher. About three months after the first visit, I returned with my scout, my youngest and my wife. We brought our own lunch and ate outside. Such a beautiful day and location. Once we made it inside I was surprised to see many new... More
