Art dating back 5000 years, a world class facility, features one of the largest collections of Armor (as in knights in shining) in the Western Hemisphere now that it houses the collection from the defunct Higgins Armory. Also houses many iconic art pieces. I look forward to the many exhibits that change throughout the year. Worth more than a single... More

Really beautiful building with exceptional pieces on display. Staff was more than helpful in describing pieces as we were walking through. The month of August is FREE, what a deal (usually $14). Four floors of interesting art, takes a while to go through each. Parking is free. Only downfall were very loud children running about while parents tried to describe... More

We've been members for years of Worcester Art Museum and continue to be impressed with how it continues to improve. The Samurai exhibit and other great new exhibits were worth the return trip along with seeing the new way that art is displayed to be seen as it was originally displayed in homes of the time. So many great programs... More

Great permanent collection that is presented beautifully. The Antioch floor mosaics are spectacular! One amazing panel from Nimrud of the ruler, sadly where it came from was just destroyed. All the staff were very nice. The museum is free for the month of August and the parking is always free. Special exhibits were also great. Look at their website.

A world class collection, with lots of space to move around and enjoy the art. The curators made an interesting choice with one room in which they arranged the paintings in ways that tried to make people think differently about the connection between them; and the Rembrandt room was interesting as well.

If you are an art lover, this is a must! You will find breathtaking mosaics, paintings by some of the world's most famous artists, and an excellent café for lunch .So many exquisite treasures that you will be happily surprised. It now has knights' armor from the closed Higgins Armory and a Samurai display. It is a totally accessible museum... More

My wife and I were visiting, and our host mentioned this museum which was free during August. We had some time before returning home, and must say it was truly one of the surprises of the visit with some first class paintings. Rafael's Cowper Madonna, and VanDyck's Portrait of a man are worth the trip alone, but there were some... More

My husband and I were in Worcester for a family re-union, staying at a hotel near the museum. We walked over to see the special exhibit - a collection of folk art. We enyoyed the wide range of their regular collection as well as their special exhibit. The inclusion of Batman's cape as part of knights' armor was a whimsical... More
