Eerily empty and an undistinguished collection. Dusty relic of the past, and it appears their classes are overpriced for the economic level of the community.

Not to be compared with major museums like Boston or Guggenheim in NYC, this is a lovely small museum just off the highway in Worcester, MA. They have events and varying exhibits so check what's in house during your visit. The museum building itself is lovely and easy to navigate, there is an elevator as well but it's quite walkable.... Whether you're looking for American art, modern art, sculpture or classical European painting, you'll find a fine selection of great art here in downtown Worcester. Located a few blocks from Lincoln Square and Worcester Tech, this mid-sized museum has combined the old Higgins armor collection with the bequests and purchases that have been accumulated for over a century. The building... More

If you're in Worcester and have a few hours to spare, check this place out It is a small museum and you can see everything in 2 to 3 hours, but what they have is excellent, with works by artists such as Picasso, Monet, Gaugin, Copley, Warhol among many others. There were also works from China, ancient Rome, Egypt, Medieval... More

Spent two+ hours and was exhausted by the end. The African Child Soldiers, the Strange Art exhibit, and the permanent collection took most of the time, although the Knights thing was pretty intense in its own way. Strangely morbid themes provide an undercurrent to this entire museum, and why not. Wow.

Really enjoyed the Knights exhibit....one of the staff indicated that a small portion (about 5% of the collection) is being shown. There is a section for kids, including Helmutt, a dog suited in armor. Helmutt engages kids through illustrated signage.
