The Worcester Art Museum has an impressive and size-able collection of paintings and sculpture housed in an elegant structure that makes a visit very worth while. Add in the Higgins “Arms and Armor” collection, knowledgeable staff, a dinning area and plenty of parking makes for an overall pleasant experience.

I have had a membership to the Worcester Art Museum for many years yet always find new experiences. The "Rock Stars" Moroccan photo and slide show is a visual and sound experience. During the Christmas season the Salisbury Singers and the Merrimack Valley Bell Ringers were featured. This past weekend was the annual "Flora in Winter" which I attended a... More

If you are looking for an escape from the dreary gray days of winter go to this museum. Whether you like classical art or Rap art it is all here under one lovely roof. From Warhol's to Rembrandt's from Kandinsky to Matisse..it is certainly worth the trip. The only downside was lunch in the cafe, not a work of art...

What a great little museum, great events especially. The Flora in Winter event is delightful and the mosaic in the entry is awesome

Always a fine collection of treasures from around the world but even better since the Higgins Armory moved their collection there. I must see if you have people in from out of the area!

I've been visiting this museum frequently since I was a child. There are some really great pieces such as Monet and a 6th century mosaic! They now also have armor pieces from the now closed Higgins Armory. The museum had been getting stale after years of the same set up and exhibits. With a new director, fresh air has been... More

Not really my cup of tea, but brought the wife as a treat for her and a new experience for me. Clean nicely laid out with some truly interesting things to see and to learn. Difficult for me to understand how some early paintings are considered art. On the other hand perhaps these lesser quality portraits for example is all... More

Great little local spot. Focused more on artifacts and ancient Egyptian stuff rather than modern art. Though the mosaic floor and displays are interesting and unique. As scene in "American Hustle."

Took the nieces to the museum. They loved it. A great place to go to when out of town relatives visit.

We visited on the Saturday before Christmas so we practically had the place to ourselves. They have a broad but small collection in a beautiful building. I love small museums that can be seen in a couple of hours. They clearly try to engage children which would make a family visit more enjoyable and interesting for all. Lovely gift shop.... More
