We've been going to Worcester every year since 2001, and every year at the top of our list, is a visit to this Museum of Art. We have loved it. Found solace, tranquility, peace and calmness there, especially since we come to Worcester to deal with a stressful situation. Being among the masterpieces in this museum, with the very nice... More

From the most significant 17th c. American portraits anywhere, to masterpieces by Greco and Monet (the first American museum to purchase a Monet) including one of his "Waterlilies", to the country's finest Roman mosaics to one of America's outstanding collections of Japanese prints, the Worcester Art Museum is an artistic and architectural wonder (check out the 12th c. French monastic... More

We specifically came to see the Knights exhibit from the Higgins Museum that has since closed. Due to limited space they cannot show all of the acquisitions from the Higgins. However, it was interesting and informative. They had several staff members in the area that could answer any of your questions. They were well informed. The only objection that we... More

A few days ago,I visited this delightful art museum worthy of my accolades.Considering Worcester is a medium-sized city and it is overshadowed by Boston's Museum of Fine Arts,it is excellent.I saw its splendid collection of European paintings by famous masters like;Paolo Veneziano,Andrea Del Sarto,El Greco,Rembrandt(Saint Bartholomew"),Frans Hals,Thomas Gainesborough,Jean Corot,Claude Monet("Waterloo Bridge"),Pierre Renoir, and Paul Gauguin, among others. There also were excellent paintings by... This art museum rarely has stuffs to appreciate. Guides were useless for her knowledge and the cafe is definately a joke - not tasty, overpriced. Mediocre at best.

I went to the Art museum with my sisters. We grew up in Worcester, and we had not been there for many years. Besides the wonderful galleries, we enjoyed the gift shop, and we had a wonderful lunch at the cafe.

The Worcester Art Museum is worthy the trip from Boston. The building in itself is really nice: a sort of reconstruction of an Italian Renaissance Palce. But when you enter the courtyard it turns in a Roman Villa, because of the mosaics. They are wonderful, expecially the amazing pagan god on the wall. Then you can visit the reconstruction of... More

A relaxing Mother's Day brought us to this smaller yet impressive Museum in Worcester.Parking is easy. As is in and out of Worcester.(we used GPS). We explored the Knights exhibit with interest as well as the museum as a whole.I plan on learning more about the Museum's collections and returning.
