Mechanic's Hall, in downtown Worcester, MA, is a well maintained historic auditorium with perfect acoustics for performances of many types. Parking was available on local side streets, as well as in a nearby multistory parking garage at no charge. Within the past year, I have been here twice. The first time, I attended a concert by a three piece jazz... More

The architecture of 1857 surrounds you in this historic hall in downtown Worcester. The massive stage is acoustically perfect for a wedding, a graduation, a black tie affair, or simply a concert of classical music. The hall was renovated in 1977 and is handicap accessible with modern elevators and restrooms. There are several smaller rooms for corporate events or ceremonies... More

Mechanics Hall is a fantastic place to see a mid-size performance. The elegance of the hall, it's convenient and hassle-free location all make it such an easy way to access great programing. It's not too small, not too large. Just right.

We attend Music Worcester performances here regularly. The space is fabulous for excellent acoustics for everything from large orchestral/choral works to intimate jazz or chamber music.

I've been here many times, for weddings and graduations. It's a very fancy place. It doesn't look like it on the outside, but it truly is. It's a beautiful building on the inside. They have great parking there, too.

Mechanics Hall is an acoustic and architectural marvel. Once the site of performances by Dickens, Thackeray, Pavlova, Caruso, Dvorak and so many others, its sound throughout is breathtaking. The visuals take it a step further: fine portraits, sweeping staircases, towering organ pipes, ceiling murals...a must see for any visitor to Massachusetts.

Have been to several programs here. Beautifully restored building and acoustics exceptional. No bad seats although if mobility is impaired stairs to balcony will be a problem. No elevators to balcony. They also do private events such as weddings.
