We visited the Nobska Lighthouse during the off season (in April) I am not sure if you are able to go up to in the summer because all the signs said private property. We were able to get some nice pictures anyway, and the view was fantastic!

My wife and 2 year old and I went here twice on our vacation. The first day it was snowing and sleeting and raining, the second time it was sunny. It didn't matter to us because the view and the picture setting was brilliant. I recommend crossing the street to the sandy area and taking some pics from there. Perhaps... More

This is a place that should not be missed. Old lighthouse and what a view out to the ocean. Not to be missed.

Whether from the sea, or from the land, Nobska is a quintessential lighthouse. You must look online and find the dates and times for tours, usually in the summer. The view from the lantern room is a stunning 360 degree panorama of Buzzards Bay, Vineyard Sound, and Nantucket Sound. Martha's Vineyard, the Elizabeth Islands, and Woods Hole are laid out... More

Not much to see over the water, but the lighthouse itself is very picturesque. Very nice view from the road looking up the hill to the lighthouse.

Breath taking views of vineyard sound and martha's vineyard. A great place to just sit and 'rest" and just soak in the view. A few minutes walk (or bike) from woods hole center.

Lighthouses are a fascinating part of history, and this one was fun to see, although we weren't able to go inside. It provided the culmination of a nice drive on a beautiful day in Cape Cod.

My husband and I and 2 children stopped to see this lighthouse on our drive into Woods Hole. It's a pretty little spot with a scenic overlook of the ocean and Martha's Vineyard, especially if you walk across the street. It's just a lighthouse to walk up to so it's about a 5 minute stop max if you include crossing... More

Standing on a bluff overlooking Vineyard sound, the views from the lighthouse and Nobska Point provide a panorama of Martha's Vineyard, Woods Hole, and theElizabeth Islands. The steady stream of boat traffic and the ocean breezes are wonderful to experience. In the evening, the flash from four additional light houses and the buoys and the steamship authority ferries proved a... More

Nobska Light is basically a post card. The lighthouse and grounds are excellent as are the views of Martha's Vineyard. Parking will be difficult during the busy summer months but well worth at least a drive by between Woods Hole and Falmouth. The Falmouth Road Race passes the lighthouse as well.
