This one auditorium Theatre carefully selects films to appeal to the sophisticated Williamstown college town audience, The one my wife and I saw last night (TRUTH)) kept me on the edge of my seat!!!! The theatre also is host to the Williamstown theatre Festival which organizes every fall a week-end long series of new films and invites a celebrated producer/director/writer... More

I have heard from many other patrons of Images how far they travel to see movies here. I feel very lucky to live here, and be able to volunteer once in a while (volunteers get to see movies free!). The selection is quite varied, and I hope that there is one that you have been wanting to see while you... More

This is a wonderful little movie theater that does a terrific job in selecting QUALITY films. Ticket prices are lower than you'll find anywhere and it's surrounded by great restaurants and Lickety-Split for fabulous ice cream!

A visit to Williamstown is incomplete without taking in a flick at Images Cinema. $10 a ticket ($8 for seniors). First rate films. Top it off with ice cream afterwards at Lickety Split down the street or a craft's brew at the Purple Pub across the street. Or a fabulous sandwich at Papa Charlie's Deli next door. What's not to... More small towns need a theatre like this -- non-profit and specializing in interesting films. The location on cozy Spring At in Williamstown is perfect given the proximity to the college and such nifty restaurants.

Under the new stewardship of executive director, Doug Jones, Images has been reclaiming it's sense of purpose and reputation. For too long the cinema lost sight of its mission to book films that are truly alternatives to what the multiplexes show, and when it has offered independent or foreign films they were often chosen with political correctness and a pedestrianism... See films here that the mainstream theaters don't show. They also show films in conjunction with Williams College departments and host film festivals such as French films.
