The theatre was clean and well appointed and the film was exquisite! The people were friendly and welcoming and the concessions yummy. Need I say more? Unlike many art theatres I have attended over the years....dark and dingy....this one was clean and upbeat. I hope to return.

My wife and I went to Images on Sat. afternoon to see Zero Dark Thirty. It took two months for this show to arrive. The place is small and on this day it filled up quickly. The isle runs down the center of the theater so no one can sit directly in the center. The theater was warm at the... More

It's hard to keep up on movies when you live in out here in the hinterlands. Fortunately, Williamstown has Images, a wonderful little theater that shows top-notch first-run (mostly) independent movies. Sure, you won't find Dark Knight Rising. For that, you have to go to the mall. But if you're looking for something a little more sophisticated, Images is the... More

One of two single screen movie theaters left in small town America, Images is a treat not to be missed. Showing carefully selected, first run movies, Images provides an intimate and satisfying cinematic experience.

Great little theatre. Very friendly staff. Fine and broad selection of movies. Real popcorn with real butter. And in the winter, if it's cold, they'll loan you a blanket (and yes, they clean the blankets. I asked).

I can't imagine Williamstown without Images. Growing up in North Adams, it was fantastic to be able to see art-house flicks and blockbusters in a setting that is more intimate and personalized than the local mega-theater (which, don't get me wrong, is great too--but for a different type of experience) Images has always seemed to be run by people who... My wife and I stumbled on this place after strolling the streets looking for a place to have some wine and some food. There was a movie that we both were interested in seeing and decided to see it. The theater is small and old fashioned but very charming. I did not like the chairs too much because I felt... More

This small moviehouse shows current features at a reasonable price. The workers are volunteers and do a wonderful job.

For anyone who is tired of driving to the mall and coping with the crowds and high prices at the mega-theatres, this place is a winner. Although at one time, Images got mostly "art" films, now they get all the popular films as well as the smaller independent releases. Comfortable seating provides good viewing. Smiling volunteers man the popcorn and... More

The film selections are usually very good--of high quality. They sometimes do wonderful tie-in events with the College (e.g., John Sayles visit recently). My only complaint is that sometimes it gets very cold in there in the winter.
