This is a small, comfortable movie house on Spring Street. It's my cinema of choice, because it needs community support and it shows first-run films. They take credit cards for tickets (and offer senior and student discounts), but the concessions are cash only. There are always very friendly folks at the counter, and I like that you can meet up... if your looking for a no frills movie house you have found your place. What is good about this cinema is that it is simple and quaint. The refreshments were good but they do not have the resources to take credit and debit cards at the refreshment area of the cinema. You can use them for your ticket purchases. The... More

On our recent trip to New England we enjoyed a great couple of days in Wiliamstown and decided to take a night to see "Gravity" in 3D at Images Cinema. On entering we were made very welcome, the cinema was small, intimate and it was so clear that many people were friends & regulars. The film was great but the... More

We were in town for a once-in-a half-decade visit. Glad Images was there because not much happening that Wed. night. The theater was friendly and welcoming. Excellent staff attitude. Theater was small, very, so not much choice of seating, but all tech aspects of the 3D experience were perfect. Hurrah for non-profits.

This small, quaint college-town cinema is a refreshing alternative to the oversize, impersonal multiplexes that have taken over the rest of the country. Charming place.

One screen, but full of great first-run movies in a size that's just right for little Williamstown. The popcorn's great too!

The community supports this small nonprofit cinema located in the commercial district of town. We saw Sarah Polley's "Stories We Tell," which gives a good idea of the kind of indie films Images champions.

The theatre was clean and well appointed and the film was exquisite! The people were friendly and welcoming and the concessions yummy. Need I say more? Unlike many art theatres I have attended over the years....dark and dingy....this one was clean and upbeat. I hope to return.

My wife and I went to Images on Sat. afternoon to see Zero Dark Thirty. It took two months for this show to arrive. The place is small and on this day it filled up quickly. The isle runs down the center of the theater so no one can sit directly in the center. The theater was warm at the... More

It's hard to keep up on movies when you live in out here in the hinterlands. Fortunately, Williamstown has Images, a wonderful little theater that shows top-notch first-run (mostly) independent movies. Sure, you won't find Dark Knight Rising. For that, you have to go to the mall. But if you're looking for something a little more sophisticated, Images is the... More
