This is an excellent place to go - beautiful, very educational and worth the trip. Although not a very large place, it houses an incredible assortment of butterflies and moths from all over the world. Feel free to ask lots of questions. Staff member was knowledgeable and eager to point out details. Don't miss the small birds or the educational... More

This is a small attraction, but its perfect for little kids. There are butterflies galore, they run from tiny to bigger than your hand. We son enjoyed watching them eating nectar, and enjoyed the little birds. It is basically two things, a butterfly room, and an education room with hatching butterflies and information. I wouldn't drive from hours away to... More

I cannot get enough of this place. I adore butterflies. I visited with my 12 and 8 year old. Make sure you grab a butterfly identification map for a dollar on your way in. My kids searched for butterflies for at least an hour. Beautiful and fun. Butterflies fly and hover by 100s in a big greenhouse. Outside exhibits with... More

Found a great deal on the internet at Groupon.com and went to The Butterfly Place. This is a small facility with A LOT of amazing butterflies in one place. You walk into the atrium and you are immediately enamored with the sheer number, and colorfulness of butterflies that are feasting on the sweet nectar of a forest of flowering plants.... More

My daughter (11 years old) and I have been to several butterfly houses. This one has the most variety I have ever seen. They were flying all over, sometimes right in our faces. We were even the happy landing of a few making it look like we both were wearing beautiful new hair clips. Several benches were around so we... More

We took our grandson over the weekend and we were looking forward to a fun time. However, as we paid, one of the staff intimidated our grandson with their rules and regulations. He did not enjoy the butterflies at all! I strongly suggest giving the rules to the adults and not to the children!! Let,them enjoy the experience!

Hands down the best butterfly exhibit I've ever been to. I've been to the butterfly exhibit at Drexel University's Museum of Natural Science, the exhibit at the Houston Zoo, Boston's Museum of Science, Philadelphia Zoo, but none of them are nearly as beautiful, relaxing, and well-run as this one. I ran into the owner (an old guy) and talked to... More

I am an amateur photographer and was very pleased to be able to bring my tripod in to the Butterfly Place to take close up photos of these beautiful insects from around the world. Of course, you are allowed to bring a tripod only low attendance times of the day. Just ask the management when you might be allowed to... More

Sylvia here from The Butterfly Place. Thank-you very much! It's amazing t0 me how young children can get a lot out of the experience as long as they have their adults' to understand why it isn't a hands on experience. We have special photography times before hours by appointment only, so you could have some time before the general public... More

We went to the Butterfly Place with 3 adults and 2 children ages 1 and 4. This is a great, low cost excursion for a family with kids who are 4 and up. The location is small, but there are butterflies all over and it is quite the experience for kids (and adults). You won't be there for more than... More

Hi! Sylvia here from The Butterfly Place. Thank-you for the review! You answered a question many people ask: How long do you need to visit? Usually, about one hour is fine. Sometimes people go out and have a snack or lunch then go back in again. Thanks again! More
