Relaxing and full of colorful beautiful and unique butterflies flying all over.

Found a great deal on the internet at Groupon.com and went to The Butterfly Place. This is a small facility with A LOT of amazing butterflies in one place. You walk into the atrium and you are immediately enamored with the sheer number, and colorfulness of butterflies that are feasting on the sweet nectar of a forest of flowering plants.... More

My daughter (11 years old) and I have been to several butterfly houses. This one has the most variety I have ever seen. They were flying all over, sometimes right in our faces. We were even the happy landing of a few making it look like we both were wearing beautiful new hair clips. Several benches were around so we... More

We took our grandson over the weekend and we were looking forward to a fun time. However, as we paid, one of the staff intimidated our grandson with their rules and regulations. He did not enjoy the butterflies at all! I strongly suggest giving the rules to the adults and not to the children!! Let,them enjoy the experience!

Hands down the best butterfly exhibit I've ever been to. I've been to the butterfly exhibit at Drexel University's Museum of Natural Science, the exhibit at the Houston Zoo, Boston's Museum of Science, Philadelphia Zoo, but none of them are nearly as beautiful, relaxing, and well-run as this one. I ran into the owner (an old guy) and talked to... More

I am an amateur photographer and was very pleased to be able to bring my tripod in to the Butterfly Place to take close up photos of these beautiful insects from around the world. Of course, you are allowed to bring a tripod only low attendance times of the day. Just ask the management when you might be allowed to... More

Sylvia here from The Butterfly Place. Thank-you very much! It's amazing t0 me how young children can get a lot out of the experience as long as they have their adults' to understand why it isn't a hands on experience. We have special photography times before hours by appointment only, so you could have some time before the general public... More

We went to the Butterfly Place with 3 adults and 2 children ages 1 and 4. This is a great, low cost excursion for a family with kids who are 4 and up. The location is small, but there are butterflies all over and it is quite the experience for kids (and adults). You won't be there for more than... More

Hi! Sylvia here from The Butterfly Place. Thank-you for the review! You answered a question many people ask: How long do you need to visit? Usually, about one hour is fine. Sometimes people go out and have a snack or lunch then go back in again. Thanks again! More

Everything you wanted to know about butterflies and more. Kids are welcome and they will love it. A fascinating tour of the life cycle of butterflies. And walk with butterflies from all over the world. Some even land on you for a short visit.

The place is very small, but it's pretty. You can go through it in less than an hour. Small children would love this place, but it's a bit pricey for such a small place.

I went with my daughter and 2&4 year old grandchildren, it was made clear there is no running or touching the butterflies. My grandsons could not have been more well behaved but as we were leaving, a butterfly landed on the back of my grandsons hand. He was thrilled but within seconds, an incredibly nasty employee was reprimanding him for... More

Hi! Sylvia here from The Butterfly Place. We ask customers to please never try to get the butterflies to come to them...If handled they may be harmed.A picture tells a thousand words. Awesome time had by all the Girl Scouts that made the trip from Salisbury MA to see the butterflies, birds and fish. So much life packed into such a beautiful though small space. I found my self amazed at one butterfly and how large it was - it didn't see to be real until I watched it move! The birds... More

Hi! Sylvia here from The Butterfly Place. Thank-you for the review! We love when scouts visit us and enjoy...sometimes the visit is a step to getting a badge.
