I love this place! It is increasingly rare to find Mom and Pop movie theaters in the U.S. but the Embassy is going strong, with affordable rates and frequently changing selections for their multiple screens. Right off of Moody Street, Waltham's go-to restaurant destination. Bathrooms are always clean, popcorn is always fresh, it's just great for a date night or... More

My husband and I went here on Friday night and watched a 10pm movie and throughly loved the theater. True, it doesn't have the huge screens and reclining seats like all the newer theaters but it was a GREAT theater! The lobby and food concession area needed swept and cleaned in a serious kind of way but other than that... More

This place is a gem. Multiple screens, lots of good films, surrounded by restaurants with a parking garage right around the corner. Well worth coming here.

Long after the Oscar movies have left the mainstream theaters, generally the only place to find them is at little out-the-way theaters like the Embassy Cinema in Waltham. Even these smaller theaters generally offer online ticket purchases these days, although I found that their machine didn't know about the purchase, so I had to go to the box to pick... More

Clean, gets newer movies but all of the Theatres are tiny. I go to the theatre for the big screen experience. Screens here at Waltham are so small I might as well watch it in my living room, it is cheaper. Parking can be very difficult on weekends, making it iffy whether you can get a seat.

This place runs both independent art house films and major first run blockbusters however it is an art house theater all the way so don't expect the perks of a major cinema chain. Location sits in downtown Waltham off dreary Moody street and is on the center of a side street. One problem with the place, the parking is a... More

This theatre was added in the mid-1990s to Waltham center, and since then has been a star attraction. Really nice movie selection. My only beef -- if you need to use the bathroom it's up a long flight of stairs, or by using a elevator that's slow or not working. But generally a great place to go!

The theater itself was relatively nice and clean. The theaters seem to have less chairs than others. The nice twist is that after the previews and before the move the general manager took a moment to welcome us, tell us his name, and if anyone needed anything to let him know. As we were leaving, the person at the ticket... More

This cinema is handy to downtown Mood Street. Thus you can visit an array of eateries before or after the show. Lots of choices for movies that should satisfy most movie goers. Good selection of the usual movie goodies, plenty of party and senior discounts. Good place to "chill" and catch a flick.
