A great view from the lighthouse if it is open. The lighthouse is attached to the keeper's house. It is a charming private residence. We were lucky enough to be invited around for dinner. Not everyone is so lucky. If you stop by, I am sure you will get a peek. Even if no one is home, the view from... More

Lighthouses are great to see and photograph, except this one you can only do that from the road as it's closed to the public. It doesn't take away from its beauty, just from the overall experience. The sun rises directly behind it over the water so get there early for best photo. If you add the nice white picket fence... More

Was just beautiful. Worth a visit! Highly recommended -- as well as all the other Lighthouse on the Vineyard.

Not much to be said for this lighthouse. Pretty boring. You can't go inside or anything. Good for a couple extra pictures, that's about it.

This is a pretty lighthouse, very close to UPPER Main Street in Vineyard Haven in a very nice residential area. Needless to say, the views are magnificent and the lighthouse with its adjacent lightkeeper's house is just lovely.

The West Chop Lighthouse is on private property so you can only see from the road. With that said the area is beautiful and a lovely place to ride bicycles and take in the lighthouse. The streets are shaded, roads relatively flat, and seeing the lighthouse is a bonus.

Near Vineyard Haven, this lighthouse is another place you can go to in Martha's vineyard. However, you can't go inside, it's government-manned lighthouse.

Come here on a clear sunset night, I was taken aback with the romantic, serene feel of this place. You want to just linger...kids can run around freely and make friends. Take your camera for sure. I went coincidentally on a magical night where they were playing a tribute drum, native music circle to a former island resident. It was... More

While I love seeing this light, take a car to see it. The light is owned by the UCG and no tours are available. The bus will be around every 1.5 hours.
