There is an extensive network of off road dirt trails and paved trails accessible via bike trails from Tisbury, Oak Bluffs, and Edgartown without road riding. Though there are some root rises and seams that make a very stiff road bike a little rough at times, this is a great ride, mostly shaded with little to no Vineyard traffic hassles.... More

Great place and beautiful trails, dogs love it, just keep an I on ticks….If you venture far enough, find the pond and big open fields...

One activity I wanted to do on Martha's Vineyard was to ride a bike. Family members recommended the bike path through the Manuel Correllus State Forest. I enjoy biking on the Vineyard, but I find the main roads intimidating due to the blind curves and lack of a shoulder. THe bike path through the state forest is well maintained and I can enjoy the ride and the forest environment without any anxiety about car traffic.
