Wonderful place to walk and see turtles, birds and all other kinds of animals. The kids would love it! Also it is handicapped accesable for a wheelchair. I took my Mom and she loved it! The Ranger was/is so informative and we have returned many times!

Have a picnic, walk the trails and see some wildlife - all fun calm things to do for yourself or with children. Stop bye on a regular basis myself or with my grandson.

The only negatives would be some trails were not well maintained, some of the road crossings were dangerous primarily due to limited sight lines and drivers that didn't think the... More

This is a great place for a peaceful walk along a scenic towpath by the canal- surrounded by beautiful mowed fields.

The mountain biking trails are really good, especially if you cross the street and take the Goat Lock Trail. The trail that goes by the visitors center is flat, easy and great for families. They... Great vantage points in Rice city section. Had seen Bald eagles here this spring. On any day you can see ducks, geese and hawks. On Plummer landing area look for snapping turtles, fox, coyote and deer.

Preserves the canal-era heritage of the Blackstone Valley; expertly maintained by the Massachusetts DCR. Rangers lead informative tours. Check their website for the seasonal activities, including Sunday afternoon open-air concerts. Nice walk. Take a canoe or kayak up and down the canal.
