Truro beaches are unspoiled. They are absolutely beautiful with giant dunes (not to be climbed though). At Ballston you'll enjoy lots of waves and see lots of seals!

We went to Ballston Beach for the day in July. It was not only a beautiful beach but fun for the kids as well. It is a wide long beach. The waves were the right size for kids under 10 to Bogie Board and play in. The kids we were with are good swimmers and used to the ocean. It... More

This is a town beach that requires a resident sticker from mid-June to Labor Day. The beach is nice and wide and is set against undulating cliffs. There are no facilities, and cell phone service is spotty at best because of the height of the cliffs. Near the entrance is a typical family beach. Walking north (to the left) about... More

A cliché but so appropriate. Perhaps it was the fog that was rolling in from the sea but boy oh boy, how beautiful can a beach be! The white wide beach, soft sand, and dunes, Cape Cod beach homes, a couple walking their dog, great enough to paint or just remember forever. Sea was really rough when we were there... More

Unfortunately, the ocean has broken through, but the dunes are still there. The house in one of Edward Hopper's famous paintings of Cape Cod sits right to the left of... More

Beautiful dunes with Hoperesque houses in distance. Wide, flat sand. Good walks in either direction (North is nude). Good shells after storms.
