This zoo is small and doesn't have many animals and is in need of an update. We went this year and the bear attraction as well as the bird building were closed. They really wasn't much to see or do. Only one of the ride was running and it took 20 minutes to for my order of chicken fingers to... More

Went with my husband to a nearby restaurant and happened to pass the zoo, we wanted something different to do outside so we decided to go. Such a small zoo! We were disappointed that there wasn't more there, lots of local seeming animals instead of exotic. An intern was there for the summer and I asked her what they feed... More

Stone Zoo is quite small but it is a very nice zoo. The animal exhibits are very nice and the animals looked well cared for. There was also a farmyard area. We went through the zoo in about 1 hour (I had a teen with me) but with small kids, you could easily spend 2-3 hrs there. Definitely a place... More

We bought a family membership to the Stone Zoo in support of our town's resources & for a family friendly place to visit. Although we have used our passes on several occasions, the zoo is in need of updating & there are not enough animals to visit. We stopped at their Resource Center and were met by two very enthusiastic... More

The zoo is a decent size but it is cute. There are a bunch animals to look at most were laying down panting from the heat or you couldn't see them at all. The most movement were the wolves all 4 were running around. In the petting zoo is an adorable baby goat that was born in March. Employees were... More

Went to the Zoo today after not being there in well over 30+ yrs. Back when I went, it was a donation, not an actual amount. But the fee was not what I was disappointed with. I found the zoo to be dirty and lacking any type of learning experience. For a state run zoo, this state should be ashamed... More

very nice place to take the kids,it will entertain them with there animals/amusements for hours. a little high on admission for what kind of animals are on display, i'd expect more larger animals. but definately entertained the little grandkids for the day.

The Stone Zoo "Zoo Lights" attraction looked fantastic in advertisements. However, when you get there, it's just walking around in a dirty place with a lot of lights strung up everywhere. Although it is beautiful, it takes around 20 minutes. Also, there are a ton of families with very little zoo workers organizing the place. The line to see the... More

We heard the 'Zoolights' holiday display at the Stoneham Zoo was a popular and fun event, so we went with a group of about 30 family and friends to visit on Saturday night (12/21/13). I must say, it was not only disappointing, we actually feel a bit ripped off. The Zoolights exhibits open at 5pm and the parking lot was... More
