I have been going to this festival for years and years. It is fun for all ages. This year it is October 11-12. Visiting the gardens at other times of the year is also a pleasure. They have a fairy garden for young children to explore. It is a gardener's delight. BUT if you don't care about gardens, don't go... More

Just a few miles from downtown Stockbridge, and very lovely. There is a vegetable garden, and childrens garden (with some chickens :-) ) and also some lovely traditional gardens, a pond, a Martha Stewart installation (garden shed), a daylily path, etc. A very worthwhile stroll and look-see if you are a gardener. Very pleasant.

It may not even be among the top 10 attractions in the Berkshires. However, to be fair, there are some very nice aspects of the Garden such as the Daylily Walkway (photos). Pond Garden and Herb Garden. There's also a kids garden and a few small animals for the kids to enjoy (photos). On balance, however, there is no "Wow"... More

We went here again on the recommendation of our hotel. With 15+ acres of land, this was a great day trip, and a knowledgeable experience for kids. While our kids were in a tour having a learning experience, we decided to have a little picnic on the grounds. Can't say I've had a glass of wine at a better place... More

Yes; this is a pleasant little garden but nothing special. For anyone who lives in Vermont the zone prohibits too much variety but we were more than a tad underwhelmed - hoping we would get many more ideas for our own VT garden than we did. Once the rude young man had finished his computer inputting while we stood in... More

I love gardens! We enjoyed our walk through the BBG perennial sun and shade gardens. I especially enjoyed the different arbors on the property. We were with a public tour briefly, but preferred wandering on our own at our own pace.

My friend and I recently visited on a lovely summer day. You pay admission in the gift shop (great little shop with good prices) and then proceed. The gardens are on both sides of the highway. Make sure to visit all the gardens, which have different themes. i especially loved the Martha Stewart.garden and noticed the flowers on top of... More

This was a great activity for a beautiful day. The gardens are stunning and have some very interesting varieties of plants. Everything is very well put together, but certainly not over-manicured. Some of our highlights were the adorable Martha Stewart cottage garden, the lily walkway, and the herb gardens. The somewhat hidden beehives were also fun to look at, but... More

The gardens are not large but very well done. The admission fee is a bit steep for botanical gardens but we went in anyway. We really enjoyed the sculptures that are spread throughout the grounds and how the gardens were divided. Of special interest were the herb gardens behind the central house and the children's area behind the gift shop.

These gardens are not as large or elaborate as many other botanical gardens, but is a nice place to spend a few hours. There was a guided tour at 10 AM which made the visit much more interesting. I believe there is only one a day and if we had missed this tour, the visit be less enjoyable. One of... More
