We’d heard ado about the Botanical Garden and were not much more than a mile away at the Norman Rockwell Museum, so we went. It was an easy, self-guided trail (crushed stone) and not much more than a quarter mile in length, with a moderate incline at the end. There were trees and shrubs and waning flowers (mid September), but... More

A lovely garden with many gardens included. Beautiful sights and decoration. Leave yourself at least 2 hours to view it.

If you like visiting gardens - this is a one not to miss. If you have children and want to spend some time with them outdoors - plan on coming here. If you want to spend some time outdoors to engage the body and spirit - this is also a great place to some. Well laid out. Nice variety. We... More

This is a wonderful garden. We were lucky enough to arrive at tour time, but it isn't necessary to have a great experience.

My husband and I were vacationing in the Berkshires last month and made it a point to go to these gardens. A friend had recommended it and it's a member of the Reciprocal Arboretum Program (RAP) which allows free entry into gardens for arboretum members (we're members of our local arboretum). When we arrived an interesting and engaging talk and... More

I have been going to this festival for years and years. It is fun for all ages. This year it is October 11-12. Visiting the gardens at other times of the year is also a pleasure. They have a fairy garden for young children to explore. It is a gardener's delight. BUT if you don't care about gardens, don't go... More

Just a few miles from downtown Stockbridge, and very lovely. There is a vegetable garden, and childrens garden (with some chickens :-) ) and also some lovely traditional gardens, a pond, a Martha Stewart installation (garden shed), a daylily path, etc. A very worthwhile stroll and look-see if you are a gardener. Very pleasant.

It may not even be among the top 10 attractions in the Berkshires. However, to be fair, there are some very nice aspects of the Garden such as the Daylily Walkway (photos). Pond Garden and Herb Garden. There's also a kids garden and a few small animals for the kids to enjoy (photos). On balance, however, there is no "Wow"... More

We went here again on the recommendation of our hotel. With 15+ acres of land, this was a great day trip, and a knowledgeable experience for kids. While our kids were in a tour having a learning experience, we decided to have a little picnic on the grounds. Can't say I've had a glass of wine at a better place... More

Yes; this is a pleasant little garden but nothing special. For anyone who lives in Vermont the zone prohibits too much variety but we were more than a tad underwhelmed - hoping we would get many more ideas for our own VT garden than we did. Once the rude young man had finished his computer inputting while we stood in... More
