New England is a convenient travel region allowing you to be on the water in Boston harbour in the morning and viewing Rockwell's fabulous paintings in the afternoon. And the Norman Rockwell Museum is a definite destination and one you must not miss. Not only are many of his paintings hanging there, but explainations of how he posed the model,... More

We spent most of the day wandering through the galleries. We took time to go to lunch in Stockbridge, but spent nearly the entire day exploring the material and still didn't see everything. Amazing man and works.

This is a crowd favorite, but a must-see. The Rockwell paintings are beautiful as well as the Saturday Evening Post covers. We rented the earphone tour narrated by Rockwell's son. The behind-the-scene stories were fascinating. You can also pay for a guided tour, but we chose not to do that. The grounds are awe-inspiring, as well as Rockwell's studio behind... More

I was an art dealer for many years, so this was a real treat to see! Norman Rockwell is buried right behind my sister's house, so after the great museum tour, we visited his gravesite, which was pretty neat. Many people left objects atop his headstone, such as paint brushes, etc.

The museum surpassed all expectations--the works were phenomenal in themselves, and the manner in which Rockwell's collection was exhibited made it even more interesting. The grounds are lovely and afford opportunities for pleasant walks. Truly an enriching experience!

I was surprised to find such a nice and important museum near Stockbridge. It is a jewel and an excellent size for an afternoon or mid-morning visit. The grounds are also quite beautiful.

A very interesting museum with lots of well known images of Rockwell's artwork. The gardens and studio (entrance possible) are lovely. The Linwood House (a well known example of a Berkshire cottage) houses the administration of the museum and cannot be visited.
