By itself, the bowling would rate a three or four. Some of the balls are chipped, and you need to push the button to reset the pins, as well as keep score yourself. And by itself, the pizza would rate a four. Seeing the wood-fired pizza oven cook ten pies at time was great, but we would have liked our... More

Candle pin bowling was a new experience. Perhaps more similar to skittles from Somerset than ten pin bowling. Well, there are 10 pins but the rules are different and it is damn hard to knock all 10 down in 3 rolls! We loved it, our American hosts were better bowlers but that did not matter. A large choice of beers... More

This wonderful pizza/bowling venue in Davis Sq. is a good place to go if you want to bowl and have pizza made on the spot. Or, you can just go for the pizza. They have a very good micro brew beer selection on tap. There aren't a lot of candle pin joints left in this country. But, this is one... More

Candlepin bowling is a blast! Very different from regular bowling, which made it fun. The pins are thin and the balls are the size of bocce balls. My teenage children are bowlers with high averages and they were just as horrible as the rest of us! A lot of laughing! When we first arrived we put our names on a... More

I have been a Saccos for both pleasure and work events. I recently held my work Teams end of year gathering here, 40 Managers! We bowled and enjoyed delicious pizza and beverages.

We have family in the area of this bowling alley and they took us here while we were visiting in boston. It was the highlight of our trip. We had to wait 30 min for a lane, but there's lots of tables and a bar to wait at. They serve brick oven pizza. The candlestick bowling was so fun, a... More

Love to go here with our two year old. The bowling is candlepin, so the kid can play easily. They can put up the bumpers and they have the little ramp too. We order a pizza, some beers, and let the toddler have a ball while we get to eat without worrying whether she is going to explode at having... More

I almost don't want to review this place as it's already completely packed all the time. Great food, fun bowling, great staff. The only bummer is it's very hard to get a lane. Other than that I would HIGHLY recommend Sacco's to anyone! The beer list is ALL New England beers and most of those are local from MA.

Excellent ingredients, real wood-fired pizza oven, large booths, good service. nice salads, too. Kid friendly and gets a bit chaotic on the early side.
