This has to be one of the most retro experiences there is: candlepin bowling in a small alley with a few lanes hidden behind some stores in an old hill town in rural Massachusetts. Have a drink, bowl some frames, have a blast. Kids, adults, everyone will enjoy this. It does not get more wholesome than this. Great staff. Lesbian-friendly.

This candlepin bowling alley has retro written all over it... in a good way! We had a lot of fun here with another couple this past winter. We played cards and had a drink in the bar area while we waited for a lane. A very, very fun time. We will definitely go back.

One of the hidden gems of the village of Shelburne Falls! They have just a handful of lanes, but they are tidy and help you to feel you've stepped back in time. Good old fashioned fun in an environment to be described the same! And, if you park on Bridge Street (the main drag of the town), find your way... More

We were here for a birthday party - which, by the way, they will rent out the whole place for a party - and it was a total blast! They have a great bar, awesome view of the falls, and 6 candlepin lanes that are about 100 years old. The two owners handled a rowdy crowd flawlessly, the drinks are... More

Came here on a semi-gloomy early winter afternoon with 14 other women who are members of a Northampton-area recreation group, and we had a blast. The building has a cozy old feel, with historic photos on the walls. Great place to bring kids; I'm sure it's peaceful when 15 women aren't shouting and jumping up and down! The owners are... More

I love visiting the bowling alley! I love the candle pins, owners are really friendly, and the small bar makes the bowling alley a great place to grab a drink and relax on the weekend. The bar doesn't interfere with families at all like the other review said.

small alley. 6 0r 8 lanes. dont care for the bar in a small place like that. I think that may be what keeps families from visiting the place.
