We go to the Sandwich boardwalk every chance we get when we are on the Cape (there are several more on the Cape). Sometimes we get lobster rolls at the nearby Stop & Shop and enjoy them overlooking the boardwalk and marsh. Kayakers and clam diggers are often here as well and enjoyable to watch. But the best fun is... More

Despite the harsh Winter, the boardwalk and surrounding beaches seem to survive! The walk across the boardwalk is picturesque, and photo-worthy. At high-tide, you will see kids jumping into the water from the boards. It is a lovely place to walk, and watch a spectacular sunset.

Whether you walk across the boardwalk to the beach or jump off at high tide, you just can't be unhappy at our boardwalk. A collection of locals and tourists, sunshine, swimming, kayaking or for me the end of a long run, just looking at the boardwalk will make you smile. A must see when you visit Sandwich!

Enjoyed the walk on the entire boardwalk a fun 20 minutes there and back, and then a short walk on the beach after that!

We go to the boardwalk every summer on several occasions. You can kayak right off the parking lot into the channel. The sea grass is beautiful and the scenery on a sunny day is just breathtaking and peaceful. There are osprey nests and you can watch them come and go. I brought my kids and all their friends here to... More

Nice hidden gem of Sandwich! Nice area for all ages to explore. Hold hands of young ones though as there are places for them to fall of the boardwalk.

We were here with three children, aged 12, 9, & 8. They weren't entertained by our forced walk across the narrow boardwalk. For one way traffic, the boardwalk might be adequate, but this is two way traffic over marshlands. Did I mention we were doing this with three young children? Although the scenery was beautiful, and I would have loved... More

As long as the wind isn't blowing, it's a nice walk and you get to pass by and say hi to other people on the narrow boardwalk.

We liked the Boardwalk because it had memorials written on each plank so the walk to the beach was nice. We went in March 24, 2015 and although it was cold and windy, the walk to the beach was short and nice because we kept reading the messages as we walked. Very neat idea.

As the title says, you can't leave Sandwich without taking a walk out to the beach on the boardwalk. Although it was a little windy on the December day, we still went out and saw the beautiful area!
