As the title says, you can't leave Sandwich without taking a walk out to the beach on the boardwalk. Although it was a little windy on the December day, we still went out and saw the beautiful area!

A gorgeous walk in any season. The boardwalk makes it easy to walk out to the ocean. Fantastic views. Bring a hat - it is usually windy! Worth a special stop!

Love the boardwalk. Brought my son, daughter-in-law and baby grands to the boardwalk on a windy misty day. It was great! Having raised my kids on the Cape, it was great to see my son bring his daughter to see the views and share it with the next generation.

We arrived just before sunset and the place was bathed in pink and orange light, making it very pretty. A walk out over the boards takes a few minutes over the mud flats to reach the beach, but walking up the final few metres brings you out on a stunning view of the north Cod coast. Couple of small car... More

Walking over the iconic Sandwich Boardwalk is truly a wonderful beginning of a walk on the beach. The long boardwalk takes you over the marshland that at high tide rises up high enough for locals and visitors alike to jump off of the bridge into the water. Although the walk is relatively narrow and requires single file when passing others... More

You will see many children and some adults jumping off this boardwalk in the summer into the icy cold refreshing water. This area is beautiful....You can walk into the center of town from the boardwalk as well as to the ocean beach.

This place is very versatile - from wedding photos to a morning stroll. The boardwalk crosses a large area of marsh lands which gives you an up close view of nature at work. Keep walking and you'll get a great view of Cape Cod Bay. Make sure to keep your eyes open for the seagulls dropping oysters against the paved... More

A beautiful and quintessential landmark fitting of Historic Sandwich village on Cape Cod. A free attraction and sorounded by Nature's beauty, from the Ospry nests, to the marsh, sunrises and sunsets, and let's not forget the Town ritual of jumping off the apex of the boardwalk into the marsh's Tidal Stream at/around high tide!!!
