It's a fascinating walk along the coast of Sandwich. The walk is extensive and delightful on a less than hot day. Wear a bathing suit, you might go in for a duck and youngsters will want to dive of the boardwalk with a lot of other kids.

About a week ago, my wife and I drove over to boardwalk beach about 1/2 hour before sunset (it seemed that one can park without paying at that hour, though I couldn't confirm it on the torn website, though we never saw anyone check). The walk on the boardwalk over the dunes was just gorgeous, and the sunset only added... More

Take a walk on the LONG boardwalk that goes over marshland and ends on a beautiful beach. It is a picture of the east coast with the long grasses swaying in the wind. It's special.

We stopped at the boardwalk one evening when you no longer had to pay for parking. I thought it was really nice. There were kids jumping off of it which was fun to watch. The only think that made me a little nervous was that there was no railing for most of the boardwalk so I watched my four year... More

I'm not sure if Sandwich really wants visitors. The whole expensive parking/private beach thing can be a bit annoying. Don't pay $15 to walk this narrow path. Watch out for the broken boards. People jumping off the boardwalk can make it a bit slippery. There are no railings for most of it. We did see jellyfish, crabs, and some interesting... More

The marsh is beautiful but is, after all, just a marsh. The walk is fairly short and a bit high off the marsh. It's worth one trip but hardly another.

Wedding party had photos here.. stunning! This is top of the list when planning the event, however, hurricane damaged and we thought all was lost. They rebuilt it.. seems stronger. Perfect.

The Sandwich Boardwalk is a hidden gem in a Cape Cod town that seems to be trying to keep its historic beauty very much to itself. Getting tO the town is just map reading (or GPS), but once there signage is pretty much non-existent. Finding parking to explore the town means cruising until you can grab an on-street bay, while... My family (including a four year old) took a walk out here on a misty overcast morning. We enjoyed the scenery on the boardwalk (which is raised w/ no sides) and enjoyed walking along the beach while we were there. We were there at low tide and enjoyed looking at the tide pools and finding rocks and shells. Stay off... More

After spending a day on the beach and swimming in the sound, finding shells and pieces of marble and granite, I was completely enamored by the small, quiet beach. The boardwalk was a nice walk, with a perfect view from the top of the stairs of a heavenly sunset, pink and lavender swirls painted above the salty waves. This is... More
