The Boardwalk in Sandwich is a must. For those young at heart, it is a "Rite of Passage" for any true Cape Codder. Make sure you get the Tidal chart and only jump at high tide ( East End Canal High Tide Chart Times ). It's even more fun to watch the kids jump from here and the bridge over... More

Visited in June of 2013 and though part of it was destroyed due to the storm earlier in the year, it was still a beautiful place to walk and watch the sunset. Looking forward to going back this June.

beautiful views of the surrounding marshland. And a lovely walk on the beach. We took a ton of pictures and enjoyed walking on the beach collecting sea glass and taking in the fresh air. The board walk is very close to historic downtown so we were able to walk from our bed and breakfast.

We have been at the Cape for many years and never realized that this beautiful beach and walk was there. It is a beautiful natural resource just a walk away from the beautiful village of Sandwich.

The Town Neck boardwalk is a must see while in Sandwich. With marshes that merge with the ocean, it an ideal place to kayak in the summer. With warm weather and high tides, many jump and dive into the creek for summer fun and relief from the heat. The boardwalk has its charm in the off season as well. Make... More

Visiting in November 2013, the Boardwalk was as breathtaking in the late autumn as it would be in the height of summer. We were told us that it's been rebuilt many times over the years as it's been destroyed in winter storms. Locals sponsored individual planks and had their names engraved. A nice touch that ties the Boardwalk to the... More

I visit every morning. It is beautiful all year long, and loads of fun for all in the summer; kyaking, fishing off the bridge, catching crabs, jumping in the water at high tide, and just plain strolling. I have lived all over the world and always come back home to the boardwalk.

This area is beautiful any time of year, but exceptional in the fall. The marshes turn orange/yellow and the contrast with the water is beautiful. Off season no pass is needed to park. During winter, someone puts a Christmas tree on the bridge, and people decorate with shells, starfish etc....lovely.

The long town boardwalk gives you the opportunity to walk over the large salt marsh, with its "long look across" and lovely flowers and plants. Definitely a nice walk to the beach!
