It was our first trip to Sandy Neck Beach to hike on the trails. No maps were given at the gate house or any information. (They assumed that everyone knew their way and were headed to the beach). I returned to request up a trail map before hiking the Marshside Trail. It was a beautiful hike along a sandy path... More

We went because we wanted to go see the Sandy Neck Light House (but the only way to it was on a permitted road that we couldn't use). What little bit of it I did see it was very nice looking. They have a place to eat right there if you didn't bring a lunch. The downfall would be that... More

We live in Sandwich, but go else where for our beach days because it's really not sandy, but very rocky, small waves, and very cold water. I will say it is beautiful, but there are other Cape beaches that are much nicer, including the National Seashore beaches, and the warm beaches in Falmouth. Our favorite lower Cape beach is Cahoon... It was free to get in after a certain time (I think 4:00) - peaceful and quiet - great views. Was rocky, not sandy, so we needed shoes. There were several campers/trucks, etc. parked along the beach so there must be some kind of permit to stay. That would be a lot of fun! You can also get a permit... More

We stopped at this beach on our way home from Dennisport. It is a town beach. The beach is very big and very rocky so you will need shoes, even to go into the water. It is very clean with great facilities. We stayed all day. They give you a day pass so if you don't like this beach the... More

Not your sandy sandy beach but great for a cookout. Wear flip-flops. Great evening spot! Fire allowed, snack bar serving gourmet fare.

We went here last Sunday because we were turned away from another beach that was full....Water was ok but no sand here! ALL rocks, was pretty difficult with little children. Also was $20 a car load, we had two cars! Stayed a little over an hour, was just way too uncomfortable. Do not recommend if you like to put your... More

My wife and I decided to check this out on an overcast day. I had read about the hiking trails. We are big walkers but this place is tough! The 1.1 mile hike through the dunes and deep sand was torture! And, the beach itself was a total rock pile. I can't imagine having a day at the beach here!
