Great beach and meet people from all over the world. Get ready for a "shock" if you can venture in the water. Some of the coldest in New England.Only the brave or hearty few venture all the way in. You can get a beach sticker for your 4x4 and camp on the beach! Just like the old days. Can walk... More

If you love rocks and wear shoes to protect your feet, go for it, otherwise go to Dennis, much better beaches

The walking trails are special. Watch for ticks and check young ones especially. That said - walking amongst tall sweeping sand dunes is very refreshing. The water here can be rather clear depending on time of year. Off road permit required to drive on it - also fun.

too crowded. we had to look for parking for a long time, then had to leave as there was no room to hang out on the beach.

If your a rock or stone collector this is the beach to go to. We went at low tide and each collected a bag full. My sister collected the large ones for her garden and I collected the smaller ones for decorating around the house. The water was warm and we could wade in it but thats as far out... More

I went to Sandy Neck Beach for a walk with friends. It was quite nice. We went at low tide. There were many interesting stones and rocks on the shore to look at. I'd be interested to see what it would be like as far as swimming. It was great for a walk and to breathe in some good ocean... More

It was our first trip to Sandy Neck Beach to hike on the trails. No maps were given at the gate house or any information. (They assumed that everyone knew their way and were headed to the beach). I returned to request up a trail map before hiking the Marshside Trail. It was a beautiful hike along a sandy path... More

We went because we wanted to go see the Sandy Neck Light House (but the only way to it was on a permitted road that we couldn't use). What little bit of it I did see it was very nice looking. They have a place to eat right there if you didn't bring a lunch. The downfall would be that... More

We live in Sandwich, but go else where for our beach days because it's really not sandy, but very rocky, small waves, and very cold water. I will say it is beautiful, but there are other Cape beaches that are much nicer, including the National Seashore beaches, and the warm beaches in Falmouth. Our favorite lower Cape beach is Cahoon... It was free to get in after a certain time (I think 4:00) - peaceful and quiet - great views. Was rocky, not sandy, so we needed shoes. There were several campers/trucks, etc. parked along the beach so there must be some kind of permit to stay. That would be a lot of fun! You can also get a permit... More
