We visited on a wet day, but the rain did not dampen our enjoyment of this lovely place. We first looked at the car collection, which is superb and I loved the circular building in which it is housed. Despite the rain, we then ventured into the gardens. The wetness made all the colours more vivid, and the plants all... More

I recently got married at Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich, MA using The Casual Gourmet (which is the exclusive caterer for the venue) and it was a everything I wanted it to be. The Casual Gourmet and especially my coordinator, Stephanie Diaz Eldredge, helped make my wedding day absolutely perfect. Stephanie was there with me every step of the... More

Wow this place is definitely worth a visit. They have many different walking paths through the woods and gardens and some great sculptures of giant insects made of wood. There's a car museum a carousel and even a play area for kids. You could easily spend three or four hours here and they even have a café for lunch.

A real carousel to ride on.We went on a rainy day and in between the showers we saw the windmill, the carousel, beautiful gardens even though it's fall. The car collection of Mr. Lilly"s is impressive. With the showers we were able to ride a golf cart from the carousel to the car museum and avoid some rain drops.

Although as another reviewer said, not all flowers are in bloom in the fall, the grounds were beautiful! There were still plenty of flowers to enjoy. My husband really liked the car museum and we both enjoyed a fun ride on the carousel :-) The giant bugs were interesting to say the least. We stopped at the outdoor cafe and... More

Although fall is not the optimum time to visit, the grounds are still beautiful (but not in full bloom as it is in the spring). The new added attraction was the "Big Bugs" exhibit, with 9' tall ants and 18' tall praying mantis! They were hidden over the acreage and it was like a scavenger hunt! Lots of fun and... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the gardens and it's exhibits. The grounds were in great shape and very clean. It is easy to get around to see everything and the plants were well marked. The automobiles were fantastic. There were some very expensive and old models on display. We had lunch at the cafe which was reasonable and... More
