It's not Plum Island, but close. Beautiful beach with activities galore

Having grown up around here, I always visit Salisbury Beach when in New England. An old timey feel to a beach destination with arcades and plenty to eat. The area has always had a bit of a reputation, back in the day there were lots of biker fights and drugs and stuff. There was a medium police presence and it... More

We visit Salisbury a few times a year. We are adults who love the Arcades! We also love the beach, so clean, water is great. Nice place to people watch. Always enjoy our time here.

We have it all in New England. Salisbury Beach is less crowded and has plenty of parking, traffic is not as much of a factor as it is driving to Hampton Beach, which is only 10 miles away. Ten miles that can take up to 2 hours before you reach Hampton Beach on a predicted hot summers day, and then,... More

This was a beautiful state park. the bathrooms, changing areas, and outdoor showers were good. It is only a short walk to the beach from the parking lot. The waves were awesome but at high tide they slam you into the shore. As the tide goes out the boogy board was great. The sand was clean. I was very impressed... More

If you like a smaller, less crowded, less expensive, less drama-filled beach, I recommend Salisbury over Hampton. Yes, it's much smaller in the way of shops and restaurants, but if you're just a weekender, it's perfect. I recommend going when they host the Adam Ezra Group Ramble. The Ramble is a FREE concert on the beach with ALL proceeds being... More

We went here with our grandchildren and had a great time. Beach was clean and not overly crowded. Parking can be tricky with private lots and metered parking. We parked in a lot where you pay inside a store. We had 2 cars and the lady gave us a discount, $3 off each. Pleasant surprise. One word of caution watch... More

disappointed this year, the parking rate got jacked up and the beach is not well kept. Been going there for many years but went to Hampton Beach during a week and payed less and the beach was nicer

Got there very early and they were raking and cleaning it. So much to do in Salisbury from running to biking and hiking.

We stopped by here quickly after a whale watch nearby in Newburyport. We hadn't been for years. We were instantly greeted by trash all over the beach. People buried diapers and wipes, cigarette butts littered the sand, and everything else the beach go-ers didn't carry out with them. There are high building structures that line the beach with no trespassing... More

We got shut out of the Salisbury Beach State Reservation today so we headed to the other end in Salisbury. There are a number of bars and "attractions" fronting/near the beach, a number of them seem to have seen better days. There are no facilities, but several places to get fast food. The beach itself is nice, clean, well-tended and... More
