Have seen this site in many pictures and paintings. To see the real thing was a thrill. However cannot give it more stars because without the background, it is just an old building.

a classic look at an icon of seaside art, walk all around it, the view is great from all sides. it is the #4 built in this spot, some have not survived storms.

It was so picturesque and beautiful!! It looked like it was a postcard even to see it in person. Just beautiful!! Have a walk around some of the little shops, buy some fudge and strudel. Apparently it is even more beautiful in the late evening. We were there in the daytime. Still gorgeous!

Such a nice area to walk. You can walk right to the building. Great area to photograph. Sail boats, row boats and some nice old lobsta boat to take pictures of.

It is the place to see in Rockport. I think everyone who has ever traveled to this part of the world has their photo taken here.

We went on a cloudy day. This was a beautiful spot and great for taking pictures in. It's a definite spot to go if you are in the area.

We stopped by a place for an ice cream and they mentioned that we could go out the back door to a grassy area to sit and eat our ice cream. Right in front of us across the water was this most photographic place. It was getting dark but was surprised how well the photos came out. We walked around... More

My family an I have been coming to Rockport for decades and there is nothing more iconic than Motif #1. While I had seen it more times than I can remember, I decided to get up early on my own and catch the sunrise. You need to get there at about 5am, maybe a little earlier, but you will not... More

Surprising....but interesting back story of this quaint little building. When walking through the artist colony, be sure to snap a few photos of this iconic wharf.
