Winter Activity.

Visited Ptown during the snow. It was great to have the opportunity to do some activity beside shopping. We really enjoyed the annual display of uried artwork of the local members.

Provincetown owes much of its modern existence to the artist community and PAAM does a good job of presenting that history. Five galleries with one currently dedicated to the 100 anniversary of PAAM.

PAAM is where you discover the history of the town in art and some of its contemporary art life. It is a cool and calm place to retreat to from the bustle of shopping and dining.

Well worth going in to see some fine art. An oasis of calm in what can sometimes be quite a frenetic experience in Ptown!

Amazing granite tower, the tallest in the USA signifies the museum. Given the lack if infrastructure in the area, this tower is amazing but you need stamina and a head for heights!

I'm glad I discovered this little museum. The art was great to explore, and the bookstore was terrific. I ended up buying three books on the Provincetown artists I had studied--books I haven't seen anywhere else.

Located on the quiet East End on Commercial Street, this gem is worth the price of admission (free on some nights - call to check). The exhibits rotate but are always worthwhile. The gift shop is filled with great catalogs about the local art colony and it's history. It's a nice respite from the hustle, bustle of the street.

We did not have time to thoroughly explore this art museum, but had 15 minutes of enjoyment just going through all the many book offerings in their entry area. I suspect the entire museum is worth a longer slower walk through.

Small local museum with a great collection ... Always changing and the very generous art people of Ptown are always donating new things and/or loaning their works for exhibitions.
