Well worth going in to see some fine art. An oasis of calm in what can sometimes be quite a frenetic experience in Ptown!

Amazing granite tower, the tallest in the USA signifies the museum. Given the lack if infrastructure in the area, this tower is amazing but you need stamina and a head for heights!

I'm glad I discovered this little museum. The art was great to explore, and the bookstore was terrific. I ended up buying three books on the Provincetown artists I had studied--books I haven't seen anywhere else.

Located on the quiet East End on Commercial Street, this gem is worth the price of admission (free on some nights - call to check). The exhibits rotate but are always worthwhile. The gift shop is filled with great catalogs about the local art colony and it's history. It's a nice respite from the hustle, bustle of the street.

We did not have time to thoroughly explore this art museum, but had 15 minutes of enjoyment just going through all the many book offerings in their entry area. I suspect the entire museum is worth a longer slower walk through.

Small local museum with a great collection ... Always changing and the very generous art people of Ptown are always donating new things and/or loaning their works for exhibitions.

I felt like it took some effort to find out about this museum and then locate it once we were in town, which is a shame, because it is a nice sized space devoted to preserving and celebrating Provincetown's rich heritage in the visual arts. The current exhibits include a collection of works by women artists in the area in... More
