What a fantastic morning on the whale watching tour. There we so many whales we didn't know where to look. All the employees were so pleasant and eager to give information.

My family and I were very excited to go on our first whale watch this past Sunday but it was not meant to be. All 300 or so passengers were boarded on the boat and ready to go when we could start to tell something wasn't right after we began running behind schedule. Turns out there was a problem with... We took the 2 PM whale watch excursion and had a wonderful time watching 2 whales "play" near our boat. We had never gone on a whale-watch before and would love to do it again. The Naturalist-guide (Leah) was very informative, and made the trip interesting and fun. We returned to Plymouth Harbor at 6 PM. What a great way... More

Although I have been on several whale watches we ventured out again. This trip was amazing. I've seen 3 things I've never seen on a watch before. One was a whale breaching over and over again - what a sight! Second was this whale that seemed to be happy to see us it swam on one side of the boat... More

Went on the whale watch tour and had a wonderful time. My youngest daughter and I sat downstairs inside while my mother and my oldest daughter sat up top. The ride was very enjoyable. Staff was friendly. We got some very close up interaction with the whale that they named Hancock. He put on quite a show for us today.... More

I have been to captain John's deep sea fishing charters a few times over the past few years and it's been fun. Depending on the trip (half or full day) and the captains mood (based on tickets sold), sometimes it's cod and sometimes (mostly) it's mackerel. The staff are helpful and the boats are nice. It's been about 10 years... More

They pack you all on the boat with no regard to personal comfort or any personal interactions. I would recommend a smaller more private trip.

Every time I return to my home town, I go whale watching on a Capt. John boat. I have never been disappointed. In early June I saw about 30 whales. Several came right up to the boat. The trip lasts 4 hours (mostly travel to and from Stellwagon Bank). You see whales right off the tip of Cape Cod. The... More

We had an awesome time and saw lots of whales, many of them super-close to the boat. It was more exciting than we anticipated. For over an hour there were whales in sight almost constantly. The crew were very enthusiastic, helpful, and friendly. The snack bar was very nice and food prices were as expected. The overall cost of the... More
