I love this old, restored like new theatre! I have both performed and watched others perform there and it is top notch!

The play was amazing! Felt like I was on Broadway. My nephew was in the play. It was so exciting. The theatre is absolutely gorgeous and I knew about it because James Taylor did a concert there that I have on a DVD. I loved Pittsfield. Although I frequent the Berkshires I had never been to Pittsfield. My husband and... More

This wonderful little theatre put on the best "Christmas Carol" I've ever seen on stage! While visiting Norman Rockwell country last Christmas time, we sought suggestions for things to do. I love the theatre and did not expect much. Yet this ensemble blew me away!

The Colonial Theatre has a long history in Pittsfield. It went into disrepair and has been refurbished beautifully a few years ago. It is worth visiting to see it and to hear its wonderful acoustics. We have seen Arlo Guthrie and James Taylor play there, as well as many other performances. Musicians have voiced their appreciation for the acoustics while... More

Best Venue for a off Broadway show or better yet a concert. Feel like your stepping back in time with seat on all levels having a great view. Upper level seat may me a tad uncomfortable due to the fact they used the original wood benches form the past. We saw George Thorogood there and what a night. Been there... More

nice theater - reasonable price for tickets. Saw a great show in February - Bill Blagg illusionist for a very low price - kids love it! Parking is mimimal close to theater. Lot adjacent is mainly permit parking during weekdays and off street parking is limited so plan to walk a bit unless you arrive very early

A classic three tiered theater with wonderful charm, and a great staff. Just saw Arlo Guthrie celebrate the 50th anniversary of Alice's Restaurant. Spectacular.

We have been to many performances and shows at the Colonial Theater and the most recent one was a performance by an American Idol contestant in the lobby or "garage" as they call it. This performance was wonderfully intimate and we really go to enjoy the closeness of the performers. We have also enjoyed a magic performance in the spring... More
