My wife and i visited this theater to enjoy an amateur production of a Christmas Carol. The quality of the performance was most surprising in light that we are used to Boston Theaters and more professional productions. This theater is more spacious and there are no bad views. If visiting the area, take in a show at this location.

We went to the colonial theatre last Christmas to see James Taylor in a Christmas Carol. It was my husband and I, my 15 year old son and my Mother. We had to drive about an hour and a half to get here but the theater is so neat. It is an old theater so it makes you feel like... More

What a treasure in Pittsfield, MA. Small, intimate setting. No bad seats. Clean, comfortable seating with plenty of legroom. Less than an hours drive from the capital region of NYS.

This is a beautiful theater. It's small and intimate, you feel very connected to what's happening on-stage. As far as I can tell there isn't a bad seat in the house.

I first came to the Colonial last year to see the rock opera Tommy which was a fabulous show. I was back again this year to see A Chorus Line and again was treated to a first rate show. If your looking for great theatre in the Berkshire's be sure to check out the Colonial and it's sister stage in... More

I just saw A Chorus Line at the Colonial, the first time I had seen a production there. What a wonderfully restored theater to see this great show.

In this day and age when many places are cold and unwelcoming, The Colonial shows off the finest of what theatre can be!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at "A Christmas Carol" with James Taylor as Bob Crachit. However, we have been disappointed with the offerings since the theatre has combined with The Berkshire Theatre Festival. I wish they would bring back offerings such as The Canadian Brass and The Vienna Boys' Choir. The theatre itself is gorgeous and the history behind... More

We saw a Natalie Merchant concert/ fundraiser there for WAMC, the public radio station. It is a lovely theater, without a bad seat.
