This gilded old theater has been fully restored and offers some of the best entertainment in the Berkshires. It offers excellent regional entertainment - we enjoyed both jazz and country music concerts there - at excellent prices.

We planned our Berkshires trip so we'd be able to attend "A Little Night Music," and we were not disappointed. The production was flawless, thrilling. The theater itself, over a century old and perfectly restored, was an ideal, jewel box setting for the show. One of the volunteer ushers told us that this city of 60,000 suffered a terrible blow... Love this place. It reminds me of the great old Broadway theaters with its ornate boxes (photo) and two balconies (photo). Thanks to the good people of Pittsfield for seeing the value of this venue. Great place to see a show. We saw "A Little Night Music." We will be back.

good seats and acoustics, pleasantly restored. Prices fair. Old movie/vaudeville house. The front is a twin to the Michelin shop in W. london UK, now I believe a pricey restaurant

The atmosphere, the musical reviews, anything that happens........everything is a treat when you visit the Colonial Theater. I just love to look around at all of the ornate work that went into the theater many years ago. If you're in the Berkshires make sure you don't miss this gem.

This is a beautiful theater, located in downtown Pittsfield. The city is trying hard to restore its downtown area and the Beacon is a big part of it. You may buy beer and wine in the lobby and bring it into the theater with you. The stadium seating is a big plus for short folks like me, who always struggles... More

This theater is absolutely gorgeous. Just do not sit in general admission seats. More uncomfortable than sitting in a lawn chair for an hour or two.
