The visitors center in Orleans recommended the beach here, and we enjoyed two afternoons here. Our 6 and 9 year old kids loved looking for sea creatures, rocks, and shells. We found a horsehoe crab, dozens of snails and hermit crabs, and several small crabs. The tide here really moves across a wide area, and we had to move our... More

Stayed on Pleasant Bay with its nature walks, oyster fishing boats, and marvelous salt marshes is one reason to travel half way across the U.S. Only come if you are willing to appreciate and protect it in its natural state. Stayed at A Little Inn on Pleasant Bay and took wedding morning sunrise photos for the newlyweds. Spectacular setting and the sunrise was perfect for photographing.

Lots of marine life and several beautiful little islands. Great fishng too! Most of the access points are private but there are several town landing areas that make it possible... More

Both Big and Little Pleasant Bays are great places to go for the day. Beaches are small and rustic. Water is warm and can be shallow, which can make for accidental groundings in small sailboats. But, what a breeze to jump off and get going again!
