No matter what the weather is like, there is always a great view from East Chop! Watching the ferries or the many sailboats is very relaxing.

Nice to enjoy the views and see the outside of the lighthouse this time of year. East Chop is a great biking road away from traffic and closed to vehicles due to repair right now so bicyclists have it alone right now.

The road it's located on is one way during season so it's really nice to walk or bike on. It's a traditional NE Lighthouse set up a bit from the ocean. There is no romantic oceanside setting among rocks or anything but fun to visit. The homes in the area add to the experience and it's a must see if... More

A must see for the tourist. A beautiful sight and easy to get to. While there, it's fun to drive around the area to see the scenery and beautiful homes on the water.

Staying in the Lagoon area of Oak Bluffs, the bike trip from our cottage to the Lighthouse and then into downtown Oak Bluffs was about a 2.5 - 3 mile ride which was fairly easy going (though a bit of uphill riding). After leaving the main road and heading toward East Chop, the road opened up to beautiful views of... More

Short, picturesque bike ride along the ocean from Oak Bluffs to East Chop lighthouse. Fabulous ocean views and beautiful architecture.

Whether walking on East Chop or driving by, there is a wonderful lookout point at the East Chop lighthouse . It is a treat to see such a traditional New England lighthouse -- but the view of the Sound is also wonderful- Definitely worth the stop!

Since I love to walk, I decided to follow the road out of Oak Bluffs ..what a beautiful walk along the water with some pretty impressive houses along the way...The lighthouse itself is picturesque and the view is gorgeous. I sat on one of the benches for a while and just enjoyed the peace and quiet and the view...it was... More
