This park is lined with a host of charming "gingerbread" cottages and at the center is the tabernacle, a very nice, vintage steel structure with stained glass in the large cupola roof. There is a well maintained wooden church next to it.

Didn't know this part of the Island existed, been to the Island 4 times before I found this area. It was gorgeous.
The town itself has lots of gingerbread houses, with brightly painted fronts and grey shingle sides towards the sides and back, as does the Trinity Park area. We agreed that the houses were fun to photograph and wander amidst, but wouldn’t want the hassle of upkeep, especially as the architectural committee has very strict rules. There were no services in progress as we walked through the campground during the daytime. The sunlight illuminated the beautiful windows near the roofline of the building. The setting made me think about what the early days were like for Billy Graham and Oral Roberts.
I liked this area. This Tabernacle is one in the same with the area containing the Gingerbread Houses. The tabernacle is in the middle of them. I believe there is a tour one can take to learn about it, but we just walked around in this peaceful, clean, picturesque park area. Lots of good photo opps within this area.

it is so beautiful and very peaceful. The flower gardens were so well kept and there was no trash on the ground. We sat on a bench in the park and watch the people and their appreciation for such a beautiful place.
Very interesting history and well worth the time spent looking at the Tabernacle as well as the area that surrounds it.
Just an interesting place to see. We sat down for a bit to take a break from our walk around the Gingerbread Houses.
