These little gingerbread cottages are breathtaking, like oversized dollhouses. Worth a walk or drive!

Such a neat little place! I personally love architecture and these houses were just the cutest. So many filigree elements and teensy little porches. You can walk around for an hour and not see them all--it is easy to get lost with all the little side streets! I loved seeing all the old houses (and the fact that people live... More

While visiting the Vineyard, do not miss this unique gem. It is not commercial and it is simply beautiful and filed with history and creativity. Gingerbread cottages extrodinaire and the center of the campground is a fabulous structure known as the Tabernacle. Many summer activities are held there and they attract all members of any family and any age. Not... More

I hadn't visited the campground for over 20 years, but the gingerbread cottages were just as enchanting as I remembered. It's like a different world, and I loved sharing it with my companion, who was impressed with the intricacy of the gingerbread trim, the shapes of the doors and windows, etc.

In the center of the island of Martha's Vineyard is a group of houses that were built in the 1800's. Some are privately owned, some are for rent. The neighborhood is called Oak Bluffs. These houses are story book looking, well maintained and very colorful with ornate trim. They are very unique and were great to see!

Would be a neat place to stay if you come to The Vineyard. You can walk to everything in OB. Some really cute houses here. Really enjoyed when they had an event going on here. It's not really a campground ...most people know that but I didn't when I first visited. It's more of a gathering or group of similar... More

It could be a bit hard to find as it is off the street behind retail stores but the attendant at a nearby information kiosk gave us a map and directions. There are many small multicoloured gingerbread type cottages lining narrow streets and it would take some time to walk the streets to see all of them. There were a... More
