Definite must see in Martha's Vineyard! I enjoyed strolling through and taking pictures of the many gingerbread houses. They're so cute and each one had such beautiful and ornate details. I agree with the reviewer who mentioned they looked like doll houses. This is one place I will definitely check out every time I go to MV. So jealous of... More

Nice to swing by while in Oak Bluffs... nice and shady walk, but only a 15 minute diversion tops. My ten-year old daughter enjoyed imagining what Disney character might live inside, but didn't hold our interest for very long.

Absolutely gorgeous! Love this place. The cottages reminds you of playing doll house when you were little. I think for the amount of visitors they get for this attraction (especially small children) they should provide better comfort station. No place to change a baby. This was the first time I used a porter potty, not a pleasant experience.

Adorable little neighborhood of cottages on Martha's Vineyard. Within walking distance of where the Steamship Authority Ferry drops you off in Oaks Bluff. A must see and free!

A must visit and just a short walk from the boat docks in Oak Bluffs. Get ready to take plenty of pictures of the Gingerbread houses that surround the campground and are on the edge of town. The campground has a large building called the tabernacle that houses concerts. Be sure to check the newspapers and entertainment guide while on... More

A great walk in Oak Bluffs. The area is called the campground because in the early 1800's it was the site of religious camp meetings. The tents were replaced by small gingerbread trimmed cottages. They are all different have great tiny gardens and a must see for anyone who likes historic houses.

What a wonderful stroll around looking at all the unique & wonderful gingerbread houses. The name is misleading & may make people think it's a campground....it used to be! Right off Circuit Ave, a very easy walk & well worth going back in time!

A stroll throughout this site was like stepping back in time. The gingerbread cottages were so quaint and full of charm. Each one was unique with the owner's own personal style shining through. A must see!

If you're in Martha's Vineyard and are a history buff, like old unique buildings or are a fan of the road less traveled, find time to wander through the "Gingerbread Houses" in Oak Bluffs Campground. These whimsical structures were built by "campmeeting" Methodists from 1859-1880. First as ornately decorated tents -- later as permanent structures. Plan to visit the Cottage... More
