A group of very special Gingerbread cottages around a very historic green. It is just a short walk from the ferry terminal - don't miss it - well worth a visit and a photo opportunity

What a strange title for an attraction - nothing campground about it. This is a quaint neighborhood with adorable cottages (they call them gingerbread cottages) that is just a joy to wander around. By far my favorite thing that we did while on Martha's Vineyard. I wish TA would rename this Gingerbread Cottages as we found this attraction through the... More

It's a throwback in time to stroll the campground, especially in the early morning with our coffee. Such beautifully preserved cottages, what a history! Visit the museum or take a guided tour.

The Campground is a maze of streets wrapping around tiny gingerbread-like cottages. The cottages are small summer homes, mostly built in the late 1800's, that took the place of the tents that encircled the Tabernacle. Brightly colored, they are a photographers dream. It's easy to get turned around in there, so listen for the main roads if you get lost.

Just behind the shops on Circuit Avenue in Oak Bluffs is the Campground, a maze of tiny Victorian cottages that are sprinkled around the tabernacle in a rainbow of gingerbread decoration painted in whimsical colors. Visit on Illumination Night for a truly magical experience when all the lanterns are lit!

Take a leisurely stroll back in time...adorable gingerbread houses each with a different design and color scheme. Residents take great care of their homes and the landscaping is outstanding. Had Lobster Rolls at the Campground Cafe (which benefited local church) and it was so peaceful sitting on a bench in the quiet of the day, enjoying the weather while looking... More

The campground is worth a trip to Martha's Vineyard. Hundreds of 19th century gingerbread cottages in spectacular condition and stil part of a Methodist religious community.

Went with friends for a day as part of our "girls trip" to New England. The vineyard is a must-see. The "gingerbread houses" are the draw of Oak Bluffs. This is a lovely stroll and the houses are such a sight. Very quaint and cozy. The museum is also worthwhile. It's a $2 admission and .50 for children. Their is... More

Beautiful houses through a very busy street...the people are nice also. A must visit during Martha's Vineyard vacation!
