Ferry at vineyard have, pu the aquinnah taxi tour, very disappointed,did oaks bluff on our own ,very interesting,the cottages/campground,the history, the culture,well worth a visit, pick a better tour.
I hadn't visited the campground for over 20 years, but the gingerbread cottages were just as enchanting as I remembered. It's like a different world, and I loved sharing it with my companion, who was impressed with the intricacy of the gingerbread trim, the shapes of the doors and windows, etc.
In the center of the island of Martha's Vineyard is a group of houses that were built in the 1800's. Some are privately owned, some are for rent. The neighborhood is called Oak Bluffs. These houses are story book looking, well maintained and very colorful with ornate trim. They are very unique and were great to see!
