On a girls trip with 6 other women and I must say I loved the Gingerbread cottages. Don't miss seeing them!

A beautiful reminder of the past, with the survival of the Tabernacle, Church and cottages. The museum gives an idea of what it would have been like in the past, living in such small houses

On an island with many natural environmental treasures, but few urban architectural experiences, this is a must see. Fresh off the Boat (FOB) must see as “First See”. The pictures are great, but it needs a walk around to experience. You are flooded with questions of how could this not have been commercialized or eaten by the rich until it... More

I have never seen anything like this ... Beautiful colorful cottages in a peaceful neighborhood . Walk around, take pictures but be respectful as you see people live in these houses.

Not to be missed such quaint gingerbread houses all painted in so many colours with individual appeal. A lovely peaceful walk around with the Tabernacle in the centre to rest the legs and absorb the atmosphere. The church was closed unfortunately. There were several people walking around and taking photographs but everyone had the respect of peace and quiet for... More

The Campground is right off Circuit Ave and always makes for a great walk. We've walked there during the day and evening. Its easy to get lost at night walking through as the small streets are going everywhere. If you like looking at old cottages, this is the place. Some are quite small and others fairly large. Great looking architecture.... More

A group of very special Gingerbread cottages around a very historic green. It is just a short walk from the ferry terminal - don't miss it - well worth a visit and a photo opportunity

What a strange title for an attraction - nothing campground about it. This is a quaint neighborhood with adorable cottages (they call them gingerbread cottages) that is just a joy to wander around. By far my favorite thing that we did while on Martha's Vineyard. I wish TA would rename this Gingerbread Cottages as we found this attraction through the... More

It's a throwback in time to stroll the campground, especially in the early morning with our coffee. Such beautifully preserved cottages, what a history! Visit the museum or take a guided tour.
