What a wonderful stroll around looking at all the unique & wonderful gingerbread houses. The name is misleading & may make people think it's a campground....it used to be! Right off Circuit Ave, a very easy walk & well worth going back in time!

A stroll throughout this site was like stepping back in time. The gingerbread cottages were so quaint and full of charm. Each one was unique with the owner's own personal style shining through. A must see!

If you're in Martha's Vineyard and are a history buff, like old unique buildings or are a fan of the road less traveled, find time to wander through the "Gingerbread Houses" in Oak Bluffs Campground. These whimsical structures were built by "campmeeting" Methodists from 1859-1880. First as ornately decorated tents -- later as permanent structures. Plan to visit the Cottage... More

Every year we walk around the cottages and love to see their gingerbread and flowers. This year we went to the museum and learned more of the history..the Methodist beginnings as tents to today. Very informative.

I could have gone with or without seeing this, but it was good taking a walk and seeing some very interesting houses / cottages. If you have the time or need a walk, I would do it.

An oasis in ano otherwise touristy city. Nothing for sale, except in the gift shop. Very informative staff to give the historical background. Take an hour or so to walk, not drive, around the area. You never so so much gingerbread in your life!

Each year for a week, my family and friends and I rent a gingerbread cottage on the "Campground." It is a week we cherish. The cottages are idyllic and center around an old fashioned open air Tabernacle with evening activities such as community sing or children's talent shows. The circle is comprised of vintage colorful cottages, each unique both inside... More

I liked all the different styles of the 1860's houses and how quaint they looked. They are located in a quiet area.
