Gingerbread cottages were built iaround Tabernacle 1800s as a campground for Methodist revival gatherings. Just a beautiful spot to walk around and pick your favorite!

Not only did I have a chance to look at all of the cottages, I had the opportunity to go inside one as my friends were staying for the week. Very quaint and unique - takes you back in time.

Was in Martha's Vineyard durning Illuminations which was an added treat. The homes were illuminated with paper lanterns which were lit at night; the residents were friendly handing out treats. If you are in Martha's Vineyard during Illuminations week, this is a must do for adults and children alike.

This is a very interesting location in Oak Bluffs, and has an interesting history that comes to life while touring the campground. Fascinating!!! It is a treat to explore in the summer when everything is bustling around, but winter and quietness of the camp provides a much different, but equally satisfying perspective. Stop by and take a look....and read the... More

The cottages during the day are are as colorful as a coloring book. By night, on the third Wednesday in August, a true fairyland of thousands of lighted Japanese lanterns. First you sing songs you have known since childhood. Then at 9 o'clock, the lanterns are lit and you can stroll along paths with the lanterns hanging from porches and... More

This historic community of gingerbread houses has been wonderfully preserved for all to enjoy. Each house has its own special architecture, color scheme and unique characteristics. The campground is easy to access by foot from the main retail areas of Oak Bluffs, and it's a relaxing spot to explore away from the hubbub of Circuit Ave. and the harbor.

Definite must see in Martha's Vineyard! I enjoyed strolling through and taking pictures of the many gingerbread houses. They're so cute and each one had such beautiful and ornate details. I agree with the reviewer who mentioned they looked like doll houses. This is one place I will definitely check out every time I go to MV. So jealous of... More

Nice to swing by while in Oak Bluffs... nice and shady walk, but only a 15 minute diversion tops. My ten-year old daughter enjoyed imagining what Disney character might live inside, but didn't hold our interest for very long.

Absolutely gorgeous! Love this place. The cottages reminds you of playing doll house when you were little. I think for the amount of visitors they get for this attraction (especially small children) they should provide better comfort station. No place to change a baby. This was the first time I used a porter potty, not a pleasant experience.

Adorable little neighborhood of cottages on Martha's Vineyard. Within walking distance of where the Steamship Authority Ferry drops you off in Oaks Bluff. A must see and free!
